Casita 1 · Jungle Immersion Casita

Cozy jungle casita designed for a simple and peaceful stay inside nature.

Includes:
- Double bed
- Private bathroom
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Small desk
- Private terrace with jungle views

Perfect for slow living, cooking simply, resting, and enjoying the surrounding subtropical forest.

The space
Alya sits within a living subtropical forest.

It is a place to live in nature.

Wildlife is part of everyday life here: howler and white-faced monkeys, pizotes, iguanas, toucans, parrots, and many other birds.

They don’t appear on demand. They come when they want. And that is part of the experience.

The 11 casitas are spread throughout the property, well-spaced from one another, creating privacy, silence, and a true sense of openness.

They are rustic, well-cared-for jungle cabins with quality mattresses, designed for a real immersion in nature, with a spirit similar to glamping: essential comfort, natural materials, and a constant connection to the outdoors.

There are no glass windows. Instead, the cabins feature large screened openings with high-quality mosquito nets. This is a conscious choice.

You sleep surrounded by the jungle:
monkeys calling at dawn,
rain falling on the leaves,
the breeze moving through the night,
crickets marking the rhythm after sunset.

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire 20-acre property, including:
- All trails and paths throughout the subtropical forest
- Open-air lounge area
- Yoga platform (open-air, overlooking forest canopy)
- Your private casita with terrace

The property is yours to explore, wander, and experience at your own pace.

Other things to note
We’re located in the hills above San Juanillo, Guanacaste.

Just a 5-minute drive from Playa San Juanillo, close to Ostional, and about 15 km from Nosara (approximately a 35-minute drive).

Walking to the beach and San Juanillo town takes around 40 minutes.

The final stretch of road is unpaved. A 4x4 is recommended during the rainy season. Taxis are available and usually cost around $10 USD each way. Please note that we do not offer pick-up or drop-off services.

WiFi (via Starlink) is available in the common areas and inside each cabin. Cell phone service is limited.

The property is private, peaceful, and safe, a quiet place to slow down and enjoy nature.

Where you’ll be

San Juanillo, Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Although we are in a secluded area, you can take a 30-40min hike through the jungle or a 7min drive to the beautiful San Juanillo beach. San Juanillo village is small but also offers a few very good restaurants and a small fruit/veg store and supermarket with a local fruit+veg and crafts market on Saturdays.

The stunning and powerful black sand beach of Ostional is about a 15 min drive away, perfect for turtle watching!

Please note that the dry season in January - April will have less vegetation here in the whole area of Guanacaste. During the June - November rainy season things are a bit more luscious!

The yoga and surf mecca Nosara is 30-40 minutes away by car, here you can find a variety of restaurants, shops, bars, yoga, surfing classes, a lot more modern amenities available and a local organic market on Tuesdays.
