The mill was the perfect place for us! We loved every second of our stay. Dick and Dorothy are lovely and accommodating hosts. We recommend this to anyone traveling through Ireland! It is the perfect place near Galway!
The place was definitely quiet as it should be, great location to have a peaceful break!
If you long for an authentic farm-ish to breathe real fresh air, then go on! Dick and his wife will prepare a cosy place for you, with many little attentions, as they did for us!

Stayed in this lovely quaint converted mill for one night. We were greated very warmly by Dick and his wife Dorothy. The house is clean and rustic and my inital thoughts were it was a shame to stay only one night. There's a stream that runs outside the mill (obviously) which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Could not recommend this place highly enough and i know for certain i will be back one day, and this time we will stay for longer! Thanks a million for making our stay as enjoyable as we could have hoped for.
This place is incredibly charming. Pears growing outside the front door, beautiful old oil burner, little vase of mint on the dining table - quirky from top to toe in an incredibly endearing way...definitely worth a visit. Dorothy and Dick are lovely, and made us feel very welcome. We chose to go out for dinner and had a great meal at The Old Barracks in Athenry. Highly recommend.
We had a lovely one night's stay at the Mill and would certainly recommend this charming spot to anyone! Dick and Dorothy are warm, wonderful hosts and made our stay that much more enjoyable :) The accommodation has loads of character, is comfortable, clean and has everything one needs for a holiday trip- as a couple or with the whole family as there is lots of space :) Thanks again Dick and Dorothy!
If you're ever in the neighborhood of Galway, don't miss the chance to spend a night or two with Dick and Dorothy. Historian, raconteur, architect, aviator... and fan of all things Citroen... you'll be the richer for it. The restored Mill House is a piece of Provence, France... very comfortable and very beautiful. I couldn't recommend a visit here more highly.
