We have sheep, cattle, goats, chickens, cats and dogs. We love animals and hope you do too!
The space
This is a working ranch, which comes with sweet animals and undeniable 'farm-y-ness'. By 'farm-y-ness' we mean there are flies, nats and sometimes other pests that we do our best to manage and have professionals treat for. New in 2025 we are offering indoor and outdoor bug zappers to help make your stay more comfortable! As always we offer bug-spray as well.
Seeing as we are a ranch we do offer opportunities for you to feed our goats Dolly and Polly as well as our cows Miss Kay and Autumn. You'll find a stash of treats waiting for you if you choose to meet the ladies!
We are a working farm and we try to contain our chores to mid-morning and day-times so you can have a peaceful morning and evening experience. We hope you get out and enjoy the many local recreational opportunities during the day!
We are also working on improving and regenerating the land and have signs posted to give you a glimpse into what we're working on here! We have a half-mile walking path through our native prairie restoration project, directly adjacent to the Pecatonica River. In the summer you'll see wildflowers blooming!
We have transformed this place from an abandoned nursery to a place that is getting more beautiful by the day; you'll see we have a few projects in the works including an outdoor kitchen for our guests to use several types of grills and dining options. You're welcome to use this space if you'd like access to a gas-grill or wood-fired cooking option. The Airstream does have a private charcoal grill though if you'd rather stay 'in'.
We do not offer direct river access for kayaking or canoeing, but there are several options for access within 5 minutes of our ranch. We do however permit fishing as long as you carry a Wisconsin fishing license.
We have two campsites on our property as well, so everyone is spaced out on our nearly 23 acres, but it is likely your stay will overlap with other guests. We ask everyone to respect our quiet hours 9pm until 7am to ensure a pleasant guest experience.
It is also important to note that there are two shared restrooms that are used by both our Airstream, camping guests and us. They come stocked with towels, soaps and essentials. The bathroom is a brief walk from the Airstream (under 1 minute) and is not directly adjacent to the Airstream.
The Airstream also sits adjacent to a quiet, gravel, dead-end road. So, traffic is minimal but sometimes comes with a cloud of dust. Our neighbors are the greatest and know that we host guests and try to take it slowly.
We sell firewood and charcoal as well! Firewood is .50/piece and charcoal is $3 for a small bag that is sure to get you dinner.

We offer a key to lock the Airstream but it will be open for you when you arrive.
Other things to note
We host both guests in our Airstream as well as campsites. Which means there could be several guests using our shared bathrooms and outdoor spaces when you're here. We ask you respect the privacy of others and keep things quiet after 10pm.
Also, please note there is no air-conditioning in our Airstream. There is however a significant 'cooling' effect at night due to our proximity to the river. So, with the exception of a few summer nights, keep the windows open and the fans on, it is usually comfortable for sleeping. We have both ceiling fans as well as portable fans for guest use.
We have a small space heater for our late April and early October guests.
