* About Daejeon
Daejeon is famous for 'Daedeok Science Town', Yuseong hot spring and Daejeon EXPO '93.
Generally, this city isn't crowded with people, so is suitable for the travelers who want to relax and see how typical Korean live.
I can recommend some spots where is worth visiting.
Here are some tourist attractions near my home :
- National Science Museum
- Expo Science park
- Daejeon Museum of Art, Lee Ungno Gallery
- Hanbat Arboretum
- Yuseong hot spring
- Daejeon citizen observatory
If you enjoy riding a bicycle, you can use the bicycle rental system 'Tashu' operated by Daejeon city. (Tashu might sound like Russian but it’s a friendly Chungcheong Province dialect to encourage people to ride a method of transportation)
You can easily rent and return a bike after getting authorization via a Hankkeumi Card (transportaion card) or cell phone.
There are 22 unmanned rental centers and 260 bicycle racks and one of unmanned rental centers is located beside my apartmenet!
You can rent a bike free for the first 60 minutes and then will be charged after the first 60 minutes.

The apartment is in a quiet neighborhood located next to the surprisingly charming river separating it from KAIST. Campus was a very pleasant 25 min walk away. The apartment itself is very clean and comfortable, and Eun and her husband go above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of. This was probably my best Airbnb experience so far.
A really great stay ! Eun and her husband are very kind, helpful and interesting people to talk to.
Their philanthropic attitude is exceptional and a great experience.
Their place is pleasant too.
I highly recommend.
Eun and her husband were very friendly, kind and helpful hosts! They were very kind and provided delicious breakfast and dinner ^^. They even went out of their way to pick me up, and also drop me at the train station on arrival and departure =)
The room was very clean and spacious, and a private toilet was dedicated too! The location is very close to KAIST university where the conference I attended was held, with a walking time of 15-20mins. Definitely recommend this place especially if you plan to visit KAIST!!! And also to experience korean home food ^^
Two thumps up!!!
Two ladies stayed in a clean & neat double bed room furnished with TV, desktop computer and hair dryer. Hot-water shower room with toilet was right next door where couldn’t be more clean and sanitary. The host was probably one of the most impressive we have ever met during traveling: very kind, gentle, and open-minded. We had a dinner together at the first night and shared our experiences and opinions about life, which was a wonderful moment. We loved the foods because not only they were tasty but also very healthy. What’s more, they recommended take-a-walk along the stream and a very nice spa (100% hot spring) and those were the greatest experiences we had in Daejeon city. We want to express our huge gratitude to the host!! This place is strongly recommended!!! You would love it!!!
Very friendly, welcoming and generous. Hosts made sure I got to where I wanted to go and that I got home safely. The room was indeed very cozy and warm. The bathroom was very clean as well. Had a very comfortable stay. :)
I had a most wonderful stay with Eun and her family! I was in Daejeon for a conference, and didn't know anything about the city. Eun and her husband picked me up from the train station and welcomed me into their home with a comfortable room, breakfast and introduction to Daejeon. I usually prefer to book entire apartments, but upon reading previous reviews, I got the impression that staying with Eun would actually enhance my experience in Daejeon – and this was true, coming home to this wonderful family was a lovely way to balance the business I was in town for, and to experience some of the local life.
Location-wise, this apartment is in a pleasant local neighborhood, and about a 20-30 minute walk to the Daejeon Convention Center. It's a nice stroll along the river, and there are always people walking and jogging around, even at night. The apartment is a 10-15 minute walk from the museums (National Science, Daejeon Museum of Art) and right outside of the apartment complex you can catch a bus to the other parts of town, if you'd like to shop or explore.
In the apartment – the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the bathroom is right next to the bedroom so even though I was in a shared apartment the nook I had provided plenty of privacy. I got on the wifi without any issues and it was nice and fast.
I've stayed at many AirBnBs, but this is the first time I actually miss my hosts! I'd come back to Daejeon again just to see Eun and her family again!
They are a loving family! Eun pick me up on daejeon station and do the troble to help me find a swimsuit for the mud festival! A very thank you for the troble! They even take me around the neighborhood. Thank you for the lovely stay. I'll miss you guys!
