We are one block up from Community Boatworks where one can rent kayaks, paddle boards etc.. We are next to the interurban trail, which connects one to many parks, and hikes, and downtown Bellingham. In less than 5 minutes you can walk to Marine Park a lovely beach where the locals go to catch a spectacular sunset this time of year. Walk the beautiful Boulevard Park Boardwalk just past Fairhven The cabin has a kitchen, full bathroom upstairs, and an extra toilet only down stairs. The cabin is heated by a cozy gas fireplace but there is an extra radiator upstairs. For sleeping, there is a king size bed, full size pull out sofa, and an airbed. The bedroom and full bathroom are upstairs, and one needs to be able to navigate a spiral staircase. If you have small children, a stairway approved baby gate can be placed at the top of the staircase.
Coffee and tea are provided. If you are in need of grocery items prior to your arrival, please let us know, and we will try to assist you.
Well behaved house trained, friendly dogs are welcome. Animals that are left unattended in the cabin may be adopted by us (just kidding) :) Please count your furry companion as an 3rd guest when booking. This helps cover the additional cleaning costs. We want to keep the cabin allergy free. If your dog is too interested in the rabbit hutch and chicken coop; will have to be tied up if left in the yard unattended. No cats please (cat allergies)
If you find the cabin is missing something you need during your stay, please Text, e-mail, or come knock at your back doors and I will try to find you what you need a.s.a.p.
WiFi is available. The cabin does not have a T.V. or a stereo. We hope to add speakers that can hook up to a mobile device soon!
Our family lives in the main house on the property. We have two younger kids, a one year-old dog who is friendly, 4 chickens, and a rabbit who likes to hop around in his round pen. Feel free to peek in the coop for eggs. We also have an herb garden, please help yourself.
Yes! We have Transit. Catch the train to Seattle or Vancouver, or one can catch the bus to downtown. Only a 10-ish minute ride. Bus comes every 15 minutes. Walk in 5 minutes to Fairhaven.
