Nimala is a contemporary three bedroom home with a lush tropical gardens and lake views.
Derived from an Aboriginal term which means “near a Billabong”, the property has been designed to maximise the south easterly sea breezes that flow across the lake and directly in naturally cooling the home. For those hot and balmy days, air-conditioning is also available. The house is a contemporary styled three bedroom home set in tropical gardens and decorated with a palette of earthy tones and tropical influences. Its layout enables relaxation and where you can experience the ultimate in inside-out living. The floor plan is a basic ‘H-shape’ with two pavilions linked by a large covered outdoor alfresco area. You enter the main pavilion from the alfresco area directly into the open planned living area. In front is a gourmet kitchen fitted out to entice the chef in you and you can dine inside or out depending on the mode or occasion. You may simply wish to relax and put your feet up as you watch a movie or a TV show in the living area or grab a book from the selection provided and lounge (website hidden)-fold doors enable the living area to open out directly to the alfresco and pool area There is a large porch at the front which is accessed through the french doors looking out to a courtyard garden and the lake.
Walking down a light filled hallway, you will find a powder room and a utility room to cater for all your laundry needs. Further along is the study nook where the Wi-Fi Broadband modem enables your internet access throughout the property during your stay. Finally you arrive at the main bedroom suite. Here you are presented with a walk in robe and an ensuite that pampers to all your needs. The Guest pavilion will not disappoint. Here you will find 2 king sized bedrooms each with their own ensuite. There is also a home gym located in the garage and two adult bikes for those who want to maintain their fitness regime.

We loved this house as it was perfect for some relaxation close to the beautiful 4 mile beach. The house is very spacious and had everything we needed for the 5 days we were there. Wendy is a great host and we had no issues at all during our stay. Would highly recommend.
We had a fantastic time in Port Douglas and staying at Injasuti. The house is in the perfect position, right across from the beach and in a quite street. We could walk to the town centre along the beach in about 40 min. It was less then 10 min. drive.
When we arrived we were given a lot of informations and made feel very welcome. We have stayed in a lot of holiday houses over the years and this is definitely one of the best. It was very, very clean and had everything we needed and more. The kitchen had a great coffee machine and good quality coffee, tea and wine. There was a beautiful bunch of fresh flowers, lovely beach towels and toiletries. Everything was good quality and there has obviously been a lot of thought put into making the house absolutely perfect for guests.
We loved the pool in the middle of the house and the extra comfy beds.
While we were there the television broke and Hans came to bring us another one very promptly.

When we arrived there was a block of chocolate and some macadamia nuts and in the fridge there was a bottle of wine and some milk. These extra unexpected touches made us feel very welcome. The apartment was delightful- open and spacious with very clean lines, a white tiled floor and a very comfortable and generous couch. We were very happy here for our stay in Port Douglas. The apartment was very close to the town and when we organised trips we were picked up outside. The bed was very comfortable and the amenities were first rate. I even used the pool for a refreshing swim one afternoon. Many thanks to Wendy- our stay was perfect!

Watermark 3 was absolutely lovely and Wendy and her staff could not have been more helpful - and what a great location! 4 Mile Beach is absolutely gorgeous and just a short walk from the unit. This is a great beach for walking, riding bikes, running and just sunning. It also turned out to be a premier location for kite boarding, which was a huge bonus for my son who took advantage by taking lessons in the midst of tons of experienced and friendly kite boarders - and he could walk there himself.
Another bonus was proximity to The Beach Shack - a great, casual restaurant with sand floors, wonderful, fresh seafood and other selections and friendly atmosphere. It's also just a short walk from the unit down the street and across a paved lane marked as "The Path" which went over a bridge and through the woods. We were surprised to find it by chance the first night we arrived (by following walking directions on our phone GPS), but went back several times after that.
Watermark 3 was also an easy location for shuttle pick ups to the Reef Marina, where boats leave from for snorkeling and diving on the Great Barrier Reef, as well as shopping, cafes and restaurants. We were picked up and dropped off at Oaks Lagoon Hotel right at the corner of Langley and Port Douglas Roads.
The IGA grocery store is a very short drive away, as well as the absolutely wonderful Wildlife Habitat, a refuge for all kinds of indigenous animals you can see up close and in their natural habitats. We also toured the Daintree Rainforest, which is within an hour's drive. And Port Douglas is an absolutely picturesque, quaint beach town with lovely restaurants, stores and people.
The unit itself is very well laid out with comfortable bedrooms, beautiful balconies and huge doors that open onto the pool area where the grill is also located. The beds and bedding were comfortable and the kitchen pretty well equipped.
It may have just been the time of year but mosquitoes were a bit of an issue, making the pool area virtually unusable since it is a bit shady there. Screening on the large doors would have been a wonderful addition so that we could have enjoyed the breezes on the ground floor as well as in the bedrooms without the mosquitoes and flies coming inside.
Any minor issue or question we had was quickly addressed or answered by Wendy and Heather, her assistant, making our trip very relaxing and enjoyable - they helped us with references to activity and excursion organizers ahead of our trip as well. We would stay at Watermark again, or in any other unit managed by Wendy and her staff, without hesitation.
We had a great week long stay at the house, while we were attending a conference at the nearby Sheraton Mirage. The house was very clean, nice and with everything we needed (except wifi!). The location is great, across the street from the beach and a 5 minutes drive from downtown. It would have been perfect with internet access, but other than that it was great. Highly recommended!
This house was simply stunning. It has the most wonderful layout, a lovely kitchen and is really in the the perfect location. The team was super friendly and attentive. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the port Douglas area!
This was an excellent place to call "home" during our half week in Port Douglas. The apartment was very well-maintained, clean, and plenty of space. The little things like complimentary chocolate and wine were also a nice touch. The location was good; just a short walk to the main street.
One small issue to be aware of: when we booked the apartment and saw the disclosure that it did not have free wifi, we just assumed there would be plenty of access elsewhere. As it turns out, Port Douglas is not much for free wifi. But then again, when you're there, maybe it makes more sense to quit fooling with e-mail and internet and just enjoy all the amazing things the place has to offer.
Overall, we highly recommend staying here!
We have loved the house! It was a wonderful stay! We were there with our 2 children (11 and 14 years old). We were all very happy!
The location is great: 2 minutes walk to the beach, less than 5 minutes drive to the center, quiet in a nice area.
The house was very clean and nice decorated.
Wendy and her staff were always very friendly and helpful, answered very quickly.
I have nothing negative to say except may be the Wi-Fi which was extremely slow. It was not that bad for us and it didn't disturb us but it is good to know if you plan to take some work there or if a kid has to study....
The check out was as well inflexible. We asked if we could leave at 10.30am instead of 10am but it was refused...We had rented houses before with air bnb and the owners were always flexible.
Cecile , we loved having you with us but could not give you a later check out as had a back to back booking and needed all the time to have the house very clean for the next guests.if there is no guest coming in of course we would have given you a later check out.Port Douglas is very busy at this time of year.
This house was unique and very beautiful. It was very clean and well furnished with everything we needed to make home-cooked meals. We spent four very comfortable nights here. It's located in a quiet development about a 10-minute drive to downtown Port Douglas. Check-in and check-out were very smooth. I can easily recommend this house to others without reservation.
