My girlfriend and I had a great time staying at Camille's! The bed was amazing and the house was well maintained. Camille was a wonderful and accommodating host, and made us feel right at home. Camille wasn't able to greet us when we first arrived, so she arranged for her mother to give us a lift from the train station! She knows lots of awesome places to visit in Dublin and told us about an Irish myth storytelling event at a local pub, which we attended and greatly enjoyed.
Staying at Camille's was a wonderful experience. First off, the bed is pretty stellar. She has a nice backyard to chill in as well. Her place is close enough to the city center and I came and went whenever I wanted. When we ran into each other she always had suggestions of what to do to get the most out of my time in Dublin. It was a great place to stay.
Staying at Camille's place has been my first AirBnb stay and it couldn't have been a more wonderful experience! I stayed for 5 nights and Camille went far and beyond of what I might have expected from a host. From collecting me from and lifting me to the airport bus, to sharing dinner, enjoying a night at the fire and introducing me to her friends and family, as well as showing me around sights and shopping options, I've only gotten to know her to be a very warm, hugely generous and beautifully easy-going person. I felt more like staying at a friend's place than anything else. It has been a joy to get to know her and her beautiful home.
Looking for a home away from home? Camille is one of the most hospitable people you'll ever find! You're outside the centre of Dublin, but the bus stops on your doorstep and there is a supermarket at walking distance. Even though she's a busy bee Camille went out of her way to make sure we were cared for. Her cottage is cosy, the room was clean, you've got all the utilities you need and is just a great place to come back to. We especially enjoyed sitting by the fire in the evening. :)
Camille’s place is a wonderful, tasteful home that was comfortable, inviting and relaxing. Camille herself is a delight - interesting, talented and interested in many things. Though very busy as an arts entrepreneur she always took the time to make sure I was comfortable and informed about the area and I had no trouble getting around. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer. I do hope we will see Camille in Canada some day.
I had a great stay with Camille. She is an interesting person who was fun to talk with, and she had plenty of recommendations for transportation around Ireland and places to visit. The bed is comfortable, internet connection reliable, and it's not far from public transportation - there's actually a bus that stops right outside the front door! You can explore Dublin from here, but I also enjoyed exploring the town of Dun Laoghaire (pronounced like 'done leary'). The Dun Laoghaire farmers market on Sunday is worth checking-out. I would stay at Camille's place again - I feel like I made a new friend!
I stayed with Camille for a month while I got a job and a permanent place to live in Ireland.
Camille was extremely kind, generous, and interesting! She runs a very busy life, but I loved the chances we got to sit (or hike) and talk. Her mother is very sweet as well, and all of her friends that may pop by for a spot of tea are just as nice as Camille and her mom. She made my move to Ireland not just easier, but stress-free and fun! She's filled with helpful advice and tips.
Her house is a very cute little cottage and has a great charm to it. I especially loved sitting in the Conservatory, even with the cold coming in :) The area is absolutely wonderful - in fact I've moved into a house just a few minutes down the road. If you love nature with the convenience of the city, this area of Dublin is perfect! The sea and gorgeous Killiney Hill (best views of the coast I've seen so far!) are just 20 minutes walks away. Dalkey and Dun Laoghaire are very nice seaside towns about 15-20 minute walk away. Transport was super convenient - and I made very good use of it running around looking at places, going to job interviews, and just plain exploring. I never felt unsafe in the area, even when I walked at night and very early morning. I would absolutely recommend Camille to anyone as a host. In fact, I will be strongly suggesting her to any friends or family I have that come to visit Dublin.
I am a relaxed arty theatre producer but with the balance of a part-time IT career! Recently got some work done to the house so its bright and airy as well as being full of character. I am a very social person and have a lot of friends who live nearby. A usual weekend would include walks on the beach in killiney and a visit to the artisan food market in Dun Laoghaire. When the sun shines, there is nowhere better in the world than Ireland (I think!!)
