Beautiful first floor suite in Neo-gothic appartment inside former convent (1898). Eisenhower visited the building in WWII.
City centre, central station and grocery store (Albert Heijn XL) at walking distance. Free bikes are available.
'lobby-like' living room/kitchen. The white door on the left is the bedroom door, the door on the right is to your (private) toilet.
You'll stay at our first floor. The suite is a combination of a -lockable- bedroom (bed 160x200, with washbasin and walk in shower, seperate toilet) and a large kitchen/living room (7x7m), which used to be a classroom. We only use this room to pass through to our bedrooms (in the attic). Of course tv and wifi are included.
- free coffee and tea
- Fully equipped kitchen
- Free bikes are available.
Note: We require a E100,- deposit for our house-key and bicycle(s). This deposit is retained by Airbnb and will be refunded to you, unless we claim it within 48 hours after you have checked out.
Interaction with Guests
During your stay on our middle floor, you might encounter us while we walk to or from our bedrooms in the attic. Both your bedroom and sanitary facilities are completely private.
Although we live at walking distance from the city centre, our street is very quiet and our backdoor is also the entrance to a small and beautiful inner city parc.
Tilburg is a University town, which means lots of young people and a flourishing cultural life (shops, bars, restaurants, cinemas, theatres, 013 and museums). Tilburg is known for its Festivals/events during the spring/summer season, e.g. Roadburn, Incubate, Mundial, Best Kept Secret and 'de Tilburgse Kermis'.
Centraal Station is at walking distance. Free bikes are available. Free parking at 3 min. walking distance.
No smoking inside, but feel free to walk downstairs into our communal backyard.
Inviting other guests only by agreement.
We share this building with 3 families. Please keep that in mind when you come home at night.
Prachtig gerenoveerd pand, centrale locatie en een gastvrije ontvangst. Een absolute aanrader voor zowel een weekendje weg als voor een langer verblijf!
What can I say? This place simply remains my first choice in Tilburg!!!
Our stay here was great! It was very easy to coordinate, we got our own keys, shown where stuff for breakfast was and two city bikes to tour around town with. Their part of the old convent is three layers; the middle layer is for the guest and feels like your own apartment except for the couple times they knock and come through from their downstairs livingroom to the upstairs bedrooms. Despite the high ceilings, it is very quiet in the apartment and we did not hear them or their visiting nephews at all. It's an amazing space, very tall but warmly decorated, well heated and comfortable. THere is plenty of stuff to cook with. We did not try the TV, the wifi was not very fast but we were able to stream a movie. Only chilly part is the bathroom just outside the room in the stairwell. Location is ideal, 5 min from the city center by foot and close to fantastic pubs and restaurants.
Another pleasant and convenient stay at Iris's and Joris's place. Thanks!
A very nice spot with lots of space and still cosy. A stay of one day is too short to enjoy all the things the appartment offers!
The place you are about to rent, is the middle floor of our home. We'll make your stay as comfortable as possible in the way we ourselves prefer our citytrips; a casual place in a city centre with people to ask for advice on where to go and what to do without having to lose time over unimportant things as where to go for breakfast.
We are a family of four; a (social)media and communications' teacher (Iris), a project developer who loves architecture, design and innovation (Joris), and a boy and girl 6 and 8 years old (Jip & Madelief). You might meet us while you're here.
