The space

The B & B is located in a rural residential neighborhood with 1 mile of sandy gravel road to reach us. The house is a hacienda style with courtyards, extensive patio space that overlooks the Rio Grande River Valley, and 3 mountain ranges visible in NM, TX and Mexico.

Pajarito has a private patio with a water feature on the parking lot side of the room. The other door opens to the courtyard. There is a coffee maker, TV, CD player, small desk and lots of books. Wifi.

There is a common kitchenette shared by all guests where bottled water is available as well as snacks (included) and guests can store beverages and food.

The main house has a common dining room and living room which are both available to guests to use. These common spaces are not shared with the owners, so you can have privacy or visit with other B&B guests.

The most magical bnb I have ever been to! The rooms are large, clean and very homey. The hostess and her dog are extremely sweet and took me on walks in the breathtaking desert. I plan on returning!

Marlene is an excellent person and host! My stay was wonderful and I enjoyed a morning walk with her and Peanut. She was available if needed, kept me updated and always suggested things to do in the area! I had an amazing week!

Casa de Sueno is a lovely Santa Fe style location in the Chihuhuan desert. It has a wonderful view of the Franklin Mointains and easy access to all desirable locations in the El Paso/Las Cruces area. Desert mornings are wonderful. Marlene is a gracious hostess. If you are interested in an authentic Southwest style stay, this is the place for you.

This was an exceptional Airbnb experience. Communication with Marlene was very good before the visit and she met us on arrival and made us feel most welcome. Everything about the listing was exactly as described. The room was very private, quiet, clean and comfortable. The public areas of the main house were attractively furnished and as pictured. Marlene was an exceptional host and very informed about the area. We had some great conversation with her during our visit. The continental breakfast available to Airbnb guests was ample. Highly recommend!

Marlene was fantastic! Don't be worried by the dirt roads and off the beaten path of the place (though you should definitely get there while it's light out), this is a peaceful, clean, cozy, hacienda, with beautiful serene views. There's also a nice walking garden outside off the patio. Breakfast was great and Marlene couldn't be nicer!

For the last 10 years, my husband and I have been running a Bed and Breakfast - Casa de Suenos, on the edge of open desert in a residential community in NM, but just outside El Paso TX.

I enjoy meeting people from all over the world and since I don't get to travel any more, I love hearing the stories from our guests.

I maintain the house and 3 acres our B & B is built on. That is a pretty full time job, but I enjoy making the grounds a true desert experience for our guests.

In terms of guests, we have had the most wonderful guests at our B & B. We are pretty laid back and live in a quiet residential area in the middle of the desert. We appreciate guests who like to connect with nature, are respectful of mother earth and appreciate the quiet of the desert.
