Joseph's house is great. We had an amazing stay at his house in the beautiful town of Capestrano. The town itself is quite picturesque, perched at the top of a hill, with original housing and large castle at the top of the town. The area is also great for visiting the surrounding towns of Abruzzo - we highly recommend Caramanico Terme, and a visit to Rocca Calascio to name a few. The housekeeper Irina met us in town to take us to the house. She was very nice and showed us everything we needed to settle in. The house itself is comfortable and clean. It get's cold at night (even during May), however the wood pellet heater kept the upstairs area well heated. The kitchen is was well-equipped with all the basics to prepare meals. The stove top uses a gas bottle, which was unusual to us, however was not difficult to use. There is no designated car parking space, however parking is quite easy in the area. The wifi was also very reliable and of decent speed. We would highly recommend this house to anyone planning to visit Capestrano or the surrounding area, and would definitely stay again should we return to Italy in the future !

We escaped the heat of Siena and headed to Capestrano and the Gran Sasso for a few days. We arrived earlier than anticipated, so Tanya recommended lunch at Il Castello, just across from the gelateria where we eventually met Irina who took us to the house. It's a very sweet little place in a quiet neighborhood about a 10 minute walk up the hill to the piazza. It was a perfect base for exploring the Gran Sasso. The Rocca Salascio is just a half hour away and the drive to Campo Imperatore was less than an hour. Good suggestions from our hosts on restaurants and other local treats. Slept great with the doors open to the fresh mountain air. Lovely stay.

A very nice cosy and recommendable house in the heart of the Abruzzi. It´s well and quiet situated in the medieval village of Capestrano where life is going slow being restorative for a nice holiday stay. The accomodation is well equipped having everything you need for daily life inside. Two comfortable bedrooms offer unhurried sleep. The housekeeper Iryna is very frindly and helpful, you can call her nevery time during your stay. So to say: enjoy your stay at Joseph´s house.

I can only agree with all the positive reviews: the house is very spacious, tastefully furnished and equipped with everything you need. We had a great time in Capestrano, which is a lovely italian village with very kind people. Don't miss visiting Rocca Calascio! It's reachable in about 30 min. from Capestrano and at sunset it's kind of a magical place. Thank you for having us, Joseph!

definately cute and cosy as is stated... The very effervescent Irina met us in the town square with a lovely smile and showed us the way to the house. Waiting for us was a welcoming bunch of yellow roses and lovely bottle of local red wine. Also the kitchen was extremely set up with all kinds of goodies that you could want or need..Thank you Joseph .. At all times communications was prompt and great advice on nearby restaurants was given, in particular Rosella's, a definate must! We also visited the fortress ruins Rocco Calascio, was awesome....

Our host, Joseph, was really helpful and answered all our questions right away. We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful house in Capestrano when we came to visit our new grandson nearby. The house had everything that we needed and we especially enjoyed sitting out on the terrace in the mornings for breakfast. The area is very beautiful and we went on some wonderful excursions.
