The Space

Guest Access

There is a kitchen, bathroom and a HUGE living area all at your disposal. Your room has a SUPER COMFY foam mattress topper, armoir to hang clothing, and clean towels provided. There is also cash operated laundry in the basement in case you need to wash anything during your stay.

Interaction with Guests

There are 3 rooms rented on AirBnB in this apartment so you will be sharing it with me and other guests. This is so much fun! We often end up with an eclectic group from all over the world coming together for coffee in the morning and drinks around the neighborhood.

The Neighborhood

Williamsburg is the best! You will be right around the corner from vintage boutiques, Michelin restaurants, nightlife, a thriving music scene, food trucks and great transit options, from the water taxi to streets easily traveled by foot.

Getting around

The Rocket Factory is located 2 blocks from the entrance to the Williamsburg Bridge, so if you are biking(bike rentals 1 block away) or driving you are literally minutes from Manhattan. You will also be 1 stop from Manhattan by either the L train or the JMZ subway lines.

Other Things to Note

Some neighborhood highlights include:

Peter Luger Steakhouse – World Famous and rated NY #1 steakhouse for 30 years. 3 blocks away.

Knitting Factory – the epicenter of the Brooklyn music scene. See the Strokes before they make it big, or on Sunday see Saturday Night Live writers do standup. 5 minute walk.

Brooklyn Bowl – go listen to Questlove of the Roots DJ every Thursday night. 5 minute walk.

Brooklyn Brewery – tour and taste one of America’s finest microbreweries. 5 minute walk.

  • Everything was just as Julian said it would be. The room was clean with a freshly made bed. Very modern kitchen big bathroom etc. Williamsburg deserves another visit since there are so many cool places to see. We took Julian's advice on several establishments and also used Tripadvisor, We'll be back for sure.

  • I had a great experience staying at Julian's. It was everything that was advertised. A great, artsy loft in a fun, colorful and dynamic neighborhood. I had a lot of running around to do in New York and this location was very convenient. A fairly short walk to the train made getting around very easy. I had a chance to chat with other guests and everyone was very friendly and interesting. I'll probably stay here again, next time I'm in Brooklyn.

  • The apartment is awesome! Great location: close to local bars, and restaurants and a few blocks from the L line. Room is comfy and clean. Bathroom is solid. The decor is very interesting and eccentric. Got to talk to Julian and his friend Alex who were both nice and easy going. Highly recommend. Thanks for having us!

  • We had a great stay at Julian's place. He was away in Brasil when we arrived but his friend Alex was there to welcome us on our arrival. His place is really cozy and relaxed, just a few steps away from Bedford avenue. We really enjoyed the neighbourhood and will definitely be back soon ! Also, a big thank you for setting us up on friday night on such a short notice. We finally were able to hook up with my friend Remy and had a great night !!

  • Julian himself is a wonderful, laid back host and total sweetheart who let me drop off my bags early in the day right after my flight arrived, and let me keep my bags at his place through the afternoon the next day while I went to a nearby art exhibit.

His place was easy to find, was in a great neighborhood, had a fun artistic vibe, was clean, and the other guests staying there were wonderful too.

Thanks, Julian! Would totally stay again!

  • The loft is a very eclectic and welcoming space. Julian was kind enough to let us drop our bags off prior to check in. There is an awesome contour pillow in the room, a pillow I never really used or thought I'd like, but after exploring NY all day and a few drinks later, that pillow made life a million times better. Clean sheets, comfy room, great location! Even ran into Julian's roommate Alex one night who took us to the rooftop of another building they have, with an awesome view. They also have an awesome cat named Friday who is a nice touch to have around, especially if you've left your own fellow feline back home. Great spot!

About
I own/run a production company making films for clients from their home media and about their life experiences. Jolly, laid back, and open minded (closed to close mindedness). I enjoy thoughts and discussions in the hypothetical. In a nutshell I prefer "why not" to "why" On another note, I think cereal is humanity's high water mark, and I mean that in the most complimentary fashion.
