I spent two nights with my friend at The Barge and the experience was amazing, it is not only comfortable but also interesting to live on the barge. Pam is also a great host making my trip in Seattle wonderful.
Pam was a very helpful and available host. She gave us a tour of the boat when we arrived, and she was easy to reach via text. The boat itself was very cool -- it rocked pretty gently throughout the day and evening but stayed calm at night. The best feature of this place is the roof deck, which offered fresh air and lovely views.
Staying at "The Barge" was perfect. Pam was there to meet us and show us around when we arrived. It was an amazing experience being able to stay on the water, and just sit on the rooftop or back patio to watch all of the water traffic go by.
The area is fantastic, just a short drive to downtown, or an easy walk to Fremont. It was a perfect quiet escape after I was done working for the day.
I will certainly suggest this to anybody visiting Seattle, and hope to stay again on my next trip!
Had a great time on the barge. We ordered dinner and sat on the top deck and had a beautiful view of the lights of the city. Very comfortable and I like the change from a typical hotel. Thank Pam for letting us stay at your place! Mike & Sandy
I stayed at The Barge for three days with a friend from out of town. Pam was warm and friendly, offering very convenient check in. Access to the barge location wise and parking was ideal and the house-boat and marina vibe made the trip a wonderful time. Absolutely majestic views of the water. I would highly recommend staying here!
I enjoyed staying on the Barge. Pam did an excellent job of explaining where everything was located. I felt right at home and found the Barge to be just the perfect size for me. I appreciated having a kitchen, internet and direct TV. The view from the Barge was beautiful at night. All the light from the city sparkling out the front door was so beautiful. The location was close enough to where I was working that I was able to walk to and from work every day. Thank you so much for this experience!
My best friend and I came to Seattle for our yearly vacation and we were thrilled to be able to have an authentic Seattle experience on the Barge.
Pam is a wonderful host. She made herself available and responded quickly when we had a question. She was incredibly accommodating and even let us check in early!
The Barge is a very fun, unique place to stay. It's cozy and very comfortable. We loved it so much that when it was raining our first night we decided to stay in and order pizza and watch movies. Pam has a nice movie collection, plus on demand/cable, and she has menus for places that will deliver to the Barge (plus brochures and magazines for things to do in and around Seattle).
The couch and bed are very comfortable. The Barge is the perfect size for two guests. But our favorite part about it was being right on the water! It was so nice to be able to open the door off the living room and step out onto the porch, where you can see the city lights and watch sea planes taking off and landing. The rooftop deck is also a great place to watch the sunset.
All in all, staying on the Barge is one of the best travel experiences we've had and we highly recommend it. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Barge the next time I'm in Seattle.
