I stayed at The Barge for three days with a friend from out of town. Pam was warm and friendly, offering very convenient check in. Access to the barge location wise and parking was ideal and the house-boat and marina vibe made the trip a wonderful time. Absolutely majestic views of the water. I would highly recommend staying here!
I enjoyed staying on the Barge. Pam did an excellent job of explaining where everything was located. I felt right at home and found the Barge to be just the perfect size for me. I appreciated having a kitchen, internet and direct TV. The view from the Barge was beautiful at night. All the light from the city sparkling out the front door was so beautiful. The location was close enough to where I was working that I was able to walk to and from work every day. Thank you so much for this experience!
My best friend and I came to Seattle for our yearly vacation and we were thrilled to be able to have an authentic Seattle experience on the Barge.
Pam is a wonderful host. She made herself available and responded quickly when we had a question. She was incredibly accommodating and even let us check in early!
The Barge is a very fun, unique place to stay. It's cozy and very comfortable. We loved it so much that when it was raining our first night we decided to stay in and order pizza and watch movies. Pam has a nice movie collection, plus on demand/cable, and she has menus for places that will deliver to the Barge (plus brochures and magazines for things to do in and around Seattle).
The couch and bed are very comfortable. The Barge is the perfect size for two guests. But our favorite part about it was being right on the water! It was so nice to be able to open the door off the living room and step out onto the porch, where you can see the city lights and watch sea planes taking off and landing. The rooftop deck is also a great place to watch the sunset.
All in all, staying on the Barge is one of the best travel experiences we've had and we highly recommend it. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Barge the next time I'm in Seattle.
Pam was terrific. We had a late flight and she stayed up to welcome us and get us acquainted with the barge. It was a beautiful house boat in the middle of all of the great neighborhoods in Seattle. We had coffee every morning on the roof and swam several times a day right outside the back door. Not only was the house great, but she had it stocked with all sorts of nice things like coffee and other drinks. We had a wonderful, long weekend and recommend Pam and the barge to anyone looking for unique, affordable lodging .
We had a wonderful stay on the Barge - Pam was a great hostess and provided lots of good info. The location was so peaceful and fun to witness Seattle houseboat life style !! Getting into town was a breeze the bus line was a block away and Uber cabs are everywhere. Thanks Pam for the truly unique stay on your floating urban oasis!
Staying at The Barge was THE BEST experience. My husband (then fiance) and I rented it as we were in town for our wedding and needed a fun getaway spot. As a native Seattleite, staying on a houseboat has always been on my bucket list.
Pam was so welcoming and enthusiastic. The Barge was in immaculate condition and we were made to feel right at home. I could not have imagined a better trip and will definitely be in touch when we are in town again.
The barge is an incredible getaway. My partner and I could not have scheduled our stay here at a better time -- the weather was so beautiful we sat on the roof deck every night, just watching the sea planes take off and land as the sunset reflected against the city skyline.
The barge is a cozy home for any one (or two) people looking for an urban respite with the added feel of seclusion and privacy.
