The Space

Quite and private studio guest house in beautiful Manhattan Beach, CA. 12 minutes from LAX, 7 minutes from the beach, 5 minutes from the top restaurants in the South Bay, and a short walk to Trader Joes, coffee shops, Polliwog Park, and restaurants.

We provide you with a variety of pods for your Keurig coffee machine, a 42" flat screen TV, mini refrigerator/freezer, and complimentary toiletries (just in case you forgot something).

Enjoy a restful nights sleep in a super comfortable queen size bed with ultra soft sheets and pillows. Get dressed for success in a bright bathroom with plenty of space to store your things, soft new towels to dry off, and perfect adjustable lighting for makeup. We can also provide you with oversized beach towels and tips on all the local spots to check out when you get there.

WE NOW OFFER SURFBOARD, BOOGIE BOARD & BIKE RENTALS FOR THE DAY!!! El Porto is a great surf spot for beginners and the more experienced and is only a quick 15 minute drive away.

What makes this property unique is the relaxing outdoor space. A comfy convertible couch/chaise lounger and two oversized chairs with big umbrellas to provide lots of shade make for a great place to read the paper and drink your morning cup of joe.

We generally require a three night minimum stay on holiday weekends.

  • Bryan and Jamie are such wonderful southern California hosts! Very nice "at home feel" accommodations. Very convenient to both the city and the beaches. I'd definitely return!

  • Comfortable, spotless, private. Good value at this price. The location was convenient for me as I was visiting friends all around the South Bay.The house is on a busy street. Traffic noise was minimal, even with the windows open to catch the cool evening air, but during rush hours both parking and leaving had their challenges. I was there alone, and it worked fine, but it would have been too small if my husband was with me. I appreciated that the host texted me to remind me before I needed to move my car for street-sweeping. Overall I had a good experience at the Guest House and I recommend it.

  • My five year old and I found exactly what we were looking for in this little guest house which is within walking distance to everything. The main house is on a busy street but the guest house is very quiet. It is exactly like the pictures and very well maintained. The yard is really cute and there is an awesome patio set up! The neighborhood is safe and restaurants and shopping are all within walking distance. You could walk to the beach but carrying gear might be difficult. Downtown Manhattan Beach is adorable. This guest house and location made traveling with a small child, alone very comfortable and fun!

  • Very nice and comfortable place to stay. Bryan and Jamie were friendly and even went out of their way to offer beach towels. Very clean without being sterile, actually quite warm and cozy. Parking was easy as was access to the guest house in the back. The bed was so soft and comfortable we took a couple unintended naps after coming back from the nearby beaches before heading out to catch some night life. Coffee machine, fridge, bathroom, and very private. Great way to visit and spend the weekend!

  • We had a very lovely stay at Bryan and Jamies guesthouse! Perfectly located and very cosy. It was clean and the bed slept heavenly, even with two! Fresh towels, some nice showering products and bottles of water in the fridge for our convenience, it was a nice personal touch compared to all the big hotels. We loved it very much and will definately recommend this to everyone else who would like to have a good time in LA area :)

  • Great location, great hosts. Bryan and Jamie pay attention to the details. Bottled water in the small fridge, clean towels and a clean, quiet environment. The guest house is off the street so road noise isn't an issue. Nor is there any noise from neighbors which I've had some bad luck with at typical business hotels (suites, courtyards, extended stays, etc) in the $125-$160 price range.

We'll likely stay again on our next trip to MB. Only caveat I'd say is if you're a particularly large person, it might be too cosy for you. Especially the shower which is a bit small. But if you want a simple place to rest and clean up in between going out or too the beach, it's perfect.

  • We had a wonderful stay! At first it seemed like we might have some street noise but the cute little guest house is situated in the back yard and once inside the bedroom, it's almost inaudible (especially at night). We had two nights of great sleep in the comfortable bed and never saw our hosts until we were packing up our car. I wish we had met them sooner, they seemed very caring and sweet. Thanks for a great stay guys! Oh. Nice towels and awesome pillows. Like 8 of them!

  • Cute little studio. An easy 2 mile walk from Manhattan beach. I enjoyed the coffee, stereo, and cable TV on lazy mornings. Really awesome neighborhood. Clean. Definitely recommend this place.

  • Bryan and Jamie's place was excellent! The place was very clean and they provided coffee, water and mints for our stay. Parking was free and right outside the house. I would highly recommend! I wish we could have stayed there longer!

  • 1. Great location - really close drive to the airport (about 15 mins) and to Manhattan Beach (about 5 mins). Street parking available close by.
    2. Room exactly how pictured and described, no complaints, clean and cosy.
    3. Bryan and Jamie were really lovely and helpful, and recommended a Mexican restaurant, which was delicious (for those of you interested in Mexican, check out Dia del Campo at Hermosa Beach).
