The space

IMPORTANT: please read this FULL description.

>> How many people live in the flat?
It’s me +3 SINGLE rooms rented short term. Max. of 4 people in the flat.
>> How many people do I have to share the bathroom with?
Only 1!
>> How long it takes to reach your place from Barcelona airport?
About 1 and a half hours.
>> How do I go from the airport to your place?
I’ll send you the detailed directions once you have booked the room. It’ll be impossible for you to get lost :)
>> What should I expect from the apartment?
The apartment is always clean and tidy. Some guests told me that it has a positive energy that made them relax and feel comfortable.
>> Is the apartment noisy?
Consider that we leave in the city center, in a typical Spanish building with “patio de luces”, where you might hear the neighbors but not traffic noise. If you are sensitive to noise, I recommend to bring earplugs, although you won’t probably need them.

Guest access

>> Do I have access to the kitchen?
Yes, you have a special place in the fridge and in the cupboard to store your own food.
>> Can I use the stove and cook?
No. You have for your use in the kitchen our microwave, toaster, orange juicer and hotpot, but not the burners on the stove (sorry but I had a bad experience with some guests in the past).
>> Can I use the washing machine?
The washing machine is very old and doesn’t work well, but there is a self-service laundromat just 2 streets from home. I’ll send you more info once you have booked the room.
>> Does the internet connection work well enough to allow me to work without problems?
Yes! The internet connection works perfectly in your room. Many guests worked from home and never had any issue.

Interaction with guests

I’ll welcome you in person on the day of your arrival and I will show you the flat and give you all the information you might need during your stay. If you need any information about the city, let me help you. You’ll find many maps and guides in the room and I’ll also send you a link to a map that I have created on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps where you’ll find many pins in the neighbourhood: restaurants, cafes, shops, supermarket, useful interest points and much more.

I work a lot recently but I’m often at home. In case you don’t see me around, you can always reach me by (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) or through this platform. Please, don’t hesitate to contact me if you need anything.

Other things to note

I'd like to keep the check-in time quite flexible, but please, keep in mind that considering my work schedules, in general these would be the check-in times:
Monday to Friday from 1:30pm.
Weekends is usually flexible.
If you need to check-in at a certain time, please consult with me before the booking.
LATE CHECK-IN: If your check-in will be after 10:45pm I consider it a "late check-in" and I have to charge you 5€ every 15 minutes after that time.

Claudia is an amazing hostess. She is very well organized and sent detailed explanations on how to get to the apartment before arriving. The room I was in was very practical and nicely decorated. Everything is neat and clean and Claudia is the sweetest person. I would definitely recommend and would go back without any hesitation!

From the start Claudia was very welcoming and provided an abundance of details on places to go, things to see, and the best ways for getting around Barcelona! This was extremely helpful for planning and finding excellent places to eat near the apartment. The apartment is comfortable and the neighborhood is safe and conveniently located to public transportation. With the window open and fan blowing it was a cool and pleasant night sleep beating the summer heat. I had an amazing stay in the Bamboo Room - muchas gracias!!

It was a very nice accommodation, everything was well organized and explained by Claudia. Room was clean and cozy. Also there are a lot of bus stops and metro is very close, so it was easy to travel around Barcelona.

Claudia was very kind and helpful, she has provided detailed information on how to reach her place and some tips what not to miss in Barcelona. During my stay I primarily relied on her tips! Which was super convenient. Her apartment is very clean, which was very pleasant. Please note that shower space is very small, will not fit for everyone. For the rest I had great time and thanks a lot to Claudia, she really invested time to collect all the information necessary for a comfortable stay!

Claudia's Bamboo Room is a short walk from Sagrada Familia, close enough to be practical but not suffer from constant tourist traffic or noise. It's a small, clean and tidy room in a typical Barcelona apartment, which means you share street access and elevators with other residents. The room's window opens onto a shared light-well, and although this means you can hear almost all of the other households at some point it's still preferential to the sounds of the street. The WiFi was reliable, but you do have to move into the lounge area if you plan to use bandwidth-intensive functions like video conferencing. No big deal. Claudia went to extraordinary lengths to make me feel welcome, including giving me access to her custom-made city guide, and helping me whenever I had questions. While Bamboo Room may not be 100% perfect, Claudia did everything in her power to to make up for the few things she couldn't control. It's rare to find so much dedication in a host charging twice as much, at this price it was just amazing. Thank you Claudia!

Claudia was a great host, she's very nice and an talkative. When it comes to Barcelona she knows what she is talking a about, she discovered me a couple of interesting places I would have missed otherwise.

¡Espero poderte conocer pronto!
I was born on an island and I wanted to see what was outside. That’s how I started my experiences traveling and learning about other countries, cultures and languages. I know how it feels when arriving in a new city you feel totally lost and I know how beautiful it is when someone that you don’t even know, opens their home to you and helps you with some simple advice, making your stay much better. I have lived in 7 different cities in 5 different countries. I have had friends of friends, friends of acquaintances, and even acquaintances, take me in their city and made me feel welcome. Now it is my turn to manifest my gratitude for each of those experiences. I love to meet new people, to help and to share enriching moments.

I hope I'll meet you in person soon!
