Interaction with Guests
I really don't very much. I figure the last thing they want is someone hovering over them. If they have questions, by all means ask! But I know when I travel I tend to be a solo act.
I am very centrally located. Near the J church line, and of course the K,L,M at Castro. The F Market is only a five minute walk up to Market St. Plus I am near the (website hidden) buses
Please note the room is meant for one person only. Please be respectful of the tenants upstairs and downstairs. No guests/overnight folks. NO SMOKING!!!! .Also be a cat lover!! CHECK IN TIME IS 3:00 PM. CHECK OUT IS 10:00 AM
George was a terrific host and very attentive. He not only set up an ironing board and iron in my room, but also helped find me a dry cleaner with a quick turnaround.
The room is comfortable and on a quiet block in the Castro. It's a quick walk to Muni and a very short uber/cab ride to BART if you're crunched for time.
I would not hesitate to stay with George again when I'm in the Bay Area for work.
George was a great host! Super friendly and organized. There was a welcome sign, information sheet with rule reminders and wifi info, and a dedicated bin at the sink for my toiletries. The bed is comfortable and warm and there are windows looking out into the neighborhood. The location is hard to beat, especially since it was just blocks from the Castro St apartment I had when I was in San Francisco. It's also just blocks from great Mission neighborhood food and Muni stations. I had a wonderful stay.
This is my third time staying with George. He's the most gracious and hospitable host. Great communication, great local advice on getting around -- best location in the heart of Castro too. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you, George and Kuma!
George was the best host I could possibly ask for, in my first visit to San Francisco! From the beginning, when he bought me pizza to eat so that I wouldn't be hungry when I arrived, I could tell George cared about his guest. The room was perfectly as-described, with clear instructions on the rules for the house. It was in a PERFECT location (two blocks from the Castro). George also makes his guests feel at home, but isn't so overbearing and leaves you to do your own thing, if that's what you like. The cat was an added plus. The room was huge, and perfect for what I needed, and the view from the balcony is phenomenal. Thank you, George, for a great first time in SF!
Great place and great host. Quiet neighborhood, but close to restaurants and stores. George was super accommodating. Absolutely no complaints.
About the Host, George
I am a recruiter, a writer and cat lover! 61, Gay. I often work from home if not at my office downtown. Avid reader. Been working on a full length play (only four years now, but who's counting?.) Work as an independant headhunter for companies who need strong writers in PR/Corporate Communications or Marketing. Also help law firms find their partner level attorney teams. Lots of my clients are of course tech focused being here in the SF Bay Area! Born in China but have lived in SF since the mid 50s. Happy to make suggestions so you have a great time in SF. I try to do a daily power walk around Stowe Lake in Golden Gate Park and if you are ever interested and available to join me, you are most welcome. I tend to go to bed early, rise early. I swim in the mornings and am usually out of the house when guests get up.
