In our lovely home the Master Bedroom & EnSuite Bath is yours to enjoy during your Scottsdale visit. The room is appointed with a comfy queen bed, love seat & club chair, desk w/HP printer, private-fridge, very small TV, stereo, WiFi, large closet, dual sink vanity, make-up mirror and newly remodeled walk-in shower. Great locale with a welcome feel to the house, large private pool, grand yard & patio. The ideal location for couples, solo, and business travelers. All are welcomed.

The space
Our house is in a very quiet, safe, upscale neighborhood off the 101 & Cactus Rd. The room is accessed through the main house, it does NOT have an outdoor private entrance, but does have french door access to the backyard. The room is appointed with a queen bed and comfortable sitting area with ceiling fan above. The Air Conditioning is shared with other bedrooms. Directly off the sitting area is a small private patio, the backyard is available for your use. The room has a small TV that gets basic cable stations, a stereo (tuner, CD player) is located in the room. There is a very comfortable twin mattress stored in the room that can be used (with pre-notice so I can provide linens), with the reservation of an additional guest. Plenty of electrical outlets for phone and laptop chargers. WiFi is accessible in the room, throughout the house and yard. HP printer at the desk for direct or network connection. Hip-height fridge for storing personal groceries. Magazines (AZ Highways, Golf Digest, People, etc.) and books on Arizona points of interest, hiking, fishing, skiing, climbing, etc. are in the room. Linens & Towels, selection of soaps and shampoos, hairdryer and hangers provided. Two comfy white hotel bathrobes are in the room and can be used for lounging in your room or at the pool. Bottled water in the fridge.

Note: I greet all guest, acclimate them to their space and our home and provide an access code. Once you have your code feel free to come and go as you please at any hour. First night arrivals after 9:00 p.m. will NOT be accepted or given access - this is our personal policy and is strictly enforced. If your flight is arriving at PHX after 7:00 p.m. you might want to look for an alternate host location. If your flight has been delayed due to weather or mechanical issues please contact me immediately so I can plan and will adjust accordingly.

We do not AirBnB any other space in our home while you are here - you will be our only guest(s). We (my son and I) do, however, reside here during your visit. We love meeting our visitors and are very comfortable hosting.

Guest access
Guests have access to a small private patio just off the room; which opens up to the large back patio & backyard area available for your enjoyment. The area has a fire-pit for occasional evening s'mores. Gas Bar-b-que is available for cooking. Guest are welcome to use the main patio seating and table, swimming pool (not heated), beach volleyball court, trampoline (at your own risk), ping-pong table and tether ball. There is a Keurig coffee maker in the kitchen always with a selection of coffees, cereal bars, pop-tarts, fruits and instant oatmeal available to the guests. I don't cook so breakfast is "on your own." Full kitchen access can be permitted upon prior request, and a promise to clean up after yourself. Parking is available in the circular driveway directly in front of the house. Indoor social and common living space is not generally available to guests as I work from home. However, there is a chess table in the living room open for anyone to use. We have tons of board games and cards, feel free to challenge your traveling partner or join us for a game if we are playing at the dinning room table.

Please note: We have two dogs; one one older and the second is a newer puppy (born Oct 2018)., both are under 25 pounds. The older one is Harley, miniature pinscher chihuahua mix. He will bark at you upon your entrance into the house - my private early warning system.

We are training the puppy and are working hard to keep him from disturbing or interrupting our guests, but he is still a baby and has a lot to learn and a ton of energy. He is an Alaskan Klee Kai by the name of Ty. He is crate trained, does sleep through the nights but gets up to run at 5:30 am we get him out quickly so there is minimal noise. Please keep your fingers to yourself as he sometimes confuses them with chew toys. But he does love to be pet when we are here to guide him. We try to be quiet but that does not always work out exactly as we want, but we are always respectful of our guests.

Other things to note
The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. Great for morning walks! There is a golf course across the street which is very inviting for a stroll. If you wish to play you are welcome to borrow my clubs as they do not get enough sunlight:-). I have flash lights if you wish to go strolling in the evenings. Enjoy sitting out on the backyard patio or swimming in the pool (not heated) if you wish. The back patio is a great place to sit with a cup of coffee and plan out your day.

I am a late in life mom who enjoys every minute with my son. Traveling to the beach or mountains is perfect. Playing golf, swimming or sitting and sipping a cocktail works for me. After all these years I still love the movies "Romancing the Stone" and "Against All Odds" more than any others. For music I like Aba to ZZTop and just about everything in between, but 80’s rock, Phil Collins and Country are my favorites. I've traveled to Greece, Australia, Switzerland, England, Italy, Turkey, Malaysia, Singapore, Canada, Mexico and all but one of the fifty states for various reasons. SCUBA on the Great Barrier Reef Australia was the experience of a lifetime, skiing in Interlaken Switzerland was breathtaking, walking through Vatican City was humbling, jumping out of a plane in San Diego heart-bounding, but coming home is always the best. I spent years as a traveling salesperson flying all over the country and a few international spots. I try to make my guest's accommodations even more welcoming and as comfortable as many of the hotels I spent my time in. Earning AirBnB Super Host status was important to me and an honor. I'll do my best to maintain the standing. I am a professional sales person in the high tech industry, I coach nationally recognized synchronized swimming team, perform wedding ceremonies as an ordained minister and hold an active real estate license with Sotheby's International Realty. If you are visiting town to find a home, I'd love to help you with that quest. If you want to see the most amazing sport ever, come by the pool and watch a practice - synchro is definitely a "contact" sport. I believe - "Life Is Always Interesting."

During your stay
This is my, and my son's home and sanctuary, but we are absolutely willing to share and truly enjoy meeting visitors:-) I work from home in an office at the front of the house, so I am often around. Your awareness and respect for my working situation is appreciated. If you want to share a glass of wine in the evening and enjoy some conversation, I welcome your company! I'm up and about early with the dogs and often enjoy a peaceful cup of coffee on the back patio watching the sun come up. We will be mindful of excessive noise and ask the same from you if its very late at night.

We will respect your privacy. However, I am here to answer questions about Scottsdale and the surrounding area and when I am not at home will be available by text.
