The Space

Comfortable little cabin with private bathroom and spacious private terrace in relaxed jungle garden with fans, one double bed and one bunk bed. The cabins are located about 200 mts. from the center of the village of Cahuita and a 3 minute walk to Cahuita's beautiful black beach. Supermarkets, the bank as well as a variety of restaurants and bars are all within walking distance.

Enjoy our tropical garden and the peaceful atmosphere of our little paradise just steps away from the stunning Caribbean Sea. The village of Cahuita is very laid-back and authentic but does offer lots of activities for travellers to enjoy their holidays to the fullest.

In Cahuita's National Park you can observe incredible flora and fauna and enjoy a swim in the little deserted beach bays along the way at any given time. The coral reef in front of the park is one of the most vivid ones in the area and is home to a large variety of maritime species.

Other activities in the area include horseback rides along the beach or in the jungle, a boat tour to see the dolphins, fishing tours, guided hikes, chocolate tours or a visit to one of the rescue centers for wild animals in the region. About half an hour away in the Talamancan mountains you can get some adrenaline on a zipline tour through the tropical canopy or can visit one of the beautiful waterfalls of the area to refresh yourself. Cahuita also offers yoga classes, massages and beauty treatments for total relaxation.

Our staff was born in the Caribbean and knows the area really well and will be happy to assist you with any transportation or tour arrangements you may need. We are looking forward to welcome you, contact us :)

  • We had a great time at Cabinas Caribe Luna. The little town of Cahuita is a truly authentic Caribbean beach town. Good food, easy walk to anywhere in town, and incredible beaches. Our favorite was the coastline at the national park. Great waves and the water was the perfect temperature. The kids LOVED it. But don't count on the two local markets to provide everything you need to cook on your own. Fortunately there are a number of local spots for good food. Just be prepared to pay more than you might expect. I would definitely return for another stay... but next time when it's a little cooler. The wet heat was pretty oppressive and the ceiling fans in the cabin weren't quite strong enough to move the air and keep us cool. But that's to be expected for the time of year we visited. Lots and lots of rain. Otherwise it is a beautiful spot and worth our recommendation.

  • We stayed in the cabinas for a month and got to know Izel, Jaki, Maria and Nuria. We enjoyed their gardens full of flowers, fruit, birds and other wild life. It was very relaxing stretched out on the hammock or at the table. The staff kept our floral arrangement fresh and interesting and the housekeeping staff did a good job cleaning up after us.

Steps down the street, are about 20 Howler Monkeys a few sloths, and in the National park we saw about 15 White Faced Monkeys. The birds are colourful and like to sing. We traveled to Limon, Puerto Viejo, Manzanillo, Sloth Rescue Center, Tree of Life Animal Rescue, Playa Negra, and Cahuita National Park all close by. We saw the Fruit & Veggie Guy Thursdays and went to the Farmers Market Sundays.

Overall it was a good place to stay, the staff are pleasant and the grounds are nicely manicured.

  • A bit off the main drag but such a short walk around the corner to the small main area of town. Just a quick walk to a black sand beach. Super cute accommodations, but definitely sparsely furnished. Great patio with a hammock. Spacious accommodations and very comfortable for the 3 of us who stayed. Felt like we were in a more remote area than we really were. Even walkable to Cahuita park beach, which is amazing. Great location.
