An inviting and comfortable 3 bedroom house with off-street parking, located centrally in midtown with easy access to public transit and all the major sights. Walk to the cafes and restaurants on St Clair Ave West or fire up the BBQ and relax in the back yard!
Charming, centrally located home in midtown with public transit at the doorstep and within walking distance to St Clair Ave West. Close to cafes, restaurants and shops along St Clair Ave West, supermarkets (Loblaws & No Frills), Cedarvale Park/Phil White Arena and Wychwood Barns/farmer’s market.
Please note the house is not located downtown Toronto. It is about a 25-30 commute on public transit to get right downtown (i.e. to Union Station).
The house is very comfortable and has lots of original wood trim, hardwood floors, French doors and a wood burning fireplace in the living room. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 on the upper level, each with a queen size bed, plus a small bedroom in the basement off the family room with a double bed. There is also a double futon in the basement family room if extra sleeping space is required.
Please note, the ceilings are quite low in the basement so if you're tall, you will have to duck in places.
There are two full bathrooms, one on the upper level and one in the basement. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a gas range with double oven, large fridge and dishwasher plus coffee maker, kettle and toaster. There is a TV and DVD player in the basement family room (but there is no cable service). A fully equipped office with desk, printer, books and sitting area is also available. Also included are basic breakfast supplies, A/C, WiFi, a land line for local calls, and laundry facilities.
There is a covered front porch which is a lovely place for a morning coffee plus a landscaped back yard with seating areas and a gas BBQ.

You will have the house to yourselves during your stay, but I'm happy to make myself available any time you have questions or if you require something for the house. I'm situated nearby so please do let me know if there's something you need to make your stay more comfortable.
I've lived in the neighbourhood for more than 15 years and I really love the area. It's easy to get downtown but yet you feel like you're far away from the hustle and bustle of city life when you sit out in the back yard. There are lots of amenities nearby including restaurants, groceries, coffee shops, bakeries and parks, to name a few. I've highlighted lots of places in the Guidebook and am happy to provide more recommendations if you are looking for something specific in the neighbourhood.
Public transit (bus) to the St Clair West subway station is literally steps away from the front door of the house. You can also walk to the subway station in 10-15 mins or to St Clair Ave West to catch the streetcar in 7-10 mins.
If you have a car, there is parking in a detached garage (in the summer months) plus 1-2 outside parking spaces in the driveway (depending on the size of the vehicles).
The international airport (Pearson) is situated about 20 km away. The easiest way to get to the house is by taxi. An airport taxi costs about $45 but if you book ahead you can get it as cheap as $39. Other, albeit less convenient, options are available so if you'd like more information, please let me know.
