An inviting and comfortable 3 bedroom house with off-street parking, located centrally with easy access to public transit and all the major sights. Walk to the cafes and restaurants on St Clair Ave West or fire up the BBQ and relax in the back yard!
Charming, centrally located home with public transit at the doorstep and within walking distance to St Clair Ave West. Close to cafes, restaurants and shops along St Clair Ave West, supermarkets (Loblaws & No Frills), Cedarvale Park/Phil White Arena and Wychwood Barns/farmer’s market.
The house is very comfortable and has lots of original wood trim, hardwood floors, French doors and a wood burning fireplace in the living room. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 on the upper level, each with a queen size bed, plus a small bedroom in the basement off the family room with a double bed. There is also a double futon in the basement family room if extra sleeping space is required. Please note, the ceilings are quite low in the basement so if you're tall, you will have to duck in places. There are two full bathrooms, one on the upper level and one in the basement. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a gas range with double oven, large fridge and dishwasher plus coffee maker, kettle and toaster. There is a TV and DVD player in the basement family room. A fully equipped office with desk, printer, books and sitting area is also available. Also included are basic breakfast supplies, A/C, WiFi, a land line for local calls, and laundry facilities.
There is a covered front porch which is a lovely place for a morning coffee plus a landscaped back yard with seating areas and a gas BBQ.
Available year round and appropriate for both business and leisure travel. Please inquire with any questions you may have!
Interaction with Guests
You will have the house to yourselves during your stay, but I'm happy to make myself available any time you have questions or if you require something for the house. I'm situated nearby so please do let me know if there's something you need to make your stay more comfortable.
I've lived in the neighbourhood for more than 14 years and I really love the area. It's easy to get downtown but yet you feel like you're far away from the hustle and bustle of city life when you sit out in the back yard. There are lots of amenities nearby including restaurants, groceries, coffee shops, bakeries and parks, to name a few. I've highlighted lots of places in the Guidebook and am happy to provide more recommendations if you are looking for something specific in the neighbourhood.
Public transit (bus) to the St Clair West subway station is literally steps away from the front door of the house. You can also walk to the subway station in 10-15 mins or to St Clair Ave West to catch the streetcar in 7-10 mins.
If you have a car, there is parking in a detached garage (in the summer months) plus 1-2 outside parking spaces in the driveway (depending on the size of the vehicles).
The international airport (Pearson) is situated about 20 km away. The easiest way to get to the house is by taxi. An airport taxi costs about $45 but if you book ahead you can get it as cheap as $39. Other, albeit less convenient, options are available so if you'd like more information, please let me know.
Please mind the following House Rules during your stay:
1. No smoking indoors
2. No pets
3. Please water the plants if they look thirsty
4.Please be respectful of the neighbours next door
5. Please leave the house in the condition in which you found it
A detailed house guide is provided and should answer all your questions. It contains important information about parking, garbage sorting and collection times, WiFi access, use of appliances and other household items.
Thank you and enjoy your stay!
Cindy's home was exactly as described. She responded quickly to our questions and requests. Her attention to detail makes her house a comfortable home away from home!
We had an excellent experience with Cindy and her beautiful house in Toronto. Cindy was prompt, friendly and helpful in her correspondence before we stayed there. The house was exactly as described and shown in the photos. Cindy is clearly an experienced host, leaving a very comprehensive guide to the house itself and highlights of the surrounding neighbourhood. Overall a very enjoyable stay and highly recommended to anyone looking for a place in Toronto.
Cindy's house was a perfect destination and home-base while visiting Toronto. We were there for a family wedding and had our family of 4 (two adults, two small children) as well as both grandmothers staying together. The house was impeccably clean and Cindy's hospitable touch was left in every room. Not only does she leave a detailed house information book out, each room is left like a hotel with matching towels, nice bedding and empty drawers/closets. Also the kitchen was extremely well-stocked and she even left ample breakfast supplies which lasted us the whole weekend. It was a cold November weekend while we visited and the house was none-too warm when we arrived. We eventually figured out that the heat needed to be turned up quite high for any heat to be noticed but that wasn't a problem once we figured it out. All-in-all a great house and Cindy was lovely to deal with.
We stayed at Cindy's place for a quick work trip to Toronto. The house was very comfortable and very cozy. Neighborhood is very quite and central located to shop and transportation. I will definitely stay again next time we will be in town.
Thank you Cindy.
Cindy has a beautiful home with comfortable beds and the best of furniture. She even stocked the fridge for our arrival with all our breakfast needs. One drawback is the basement where I slept, as there was only 2 bedrooms upstairs the third is in the basement with quite low ceilings ( I'm the shortest in the group). It was a clean well equipped house and use of everything was allowed which was excellent. Everything that could be needed was provided in this home. It would definitely encourage us to rent a house again in future stays and to use airbnb again! Buses stopped across the road and everything was within a few minutes distance, including a well stocked mini market around the corner. Well worth a look if your considering staying in Toronto as it was a nice quiet neighbourhood with everything on hand.
I wanted to take the time to thank you and tell you we've only one word - WOW!
Your home is beyond amazing. How awesome that you've achieved the ability to allow your home to be the quintessential host. Nothing, absolutely nothing, has been overlooked. Although it was just the 2 of us the majority of our stay, our family was so impressed. The accommodations were perfect. They honestly could not have been better.
Our host left us more than enough breakfast supplies in the fridge which lasted for our entire 4 night stay. Everything was exactly as described, if not better.
If Cindy will have us again, we want to stay here every time we come to Toronto!
Plenty of room, very clean, and fit our family of 4 very well. Kids liked sleeping in the basement and parents liked being two floors away. Kitchen was stocked with the basics you need for cooking, bathrooms are clean, and beds are comfy. Lots of stuff within walking distance as well. The host was also very attentive to any needs and you could tell she takes really good care of the place.

I love to travel and have been very fortunate to do quite a bit of it, especially over the past few years. It's always so nice to have a comfortable place to stay when travelling...it makes a trip so much more fun and memorable! I have had many wonderful experiences with Airbnb hosts on my travels...and have learned a few things along the way! My experiences have helped me make my house a special place you will remember too! I hope you enjoy the space as much as I do!
