  • Mike's place is huge. I really liked the decor as well. The owner is an interior designer and definitely got good taste!

  • This apartment was truly a Dutch dream! Stylishly appointed with all the amenities one would need to feel at home in the middle of Amsterdam. The 9 streets are so beautiful and I was excited to discover that there is now a luxury grocer named Marqt at the end of the street! Mike was a pleasure to communicate with throughout my stay and my friends and I felt very lucky that he has opened up his home through airbnb.

  • There were many things we liked about Mike’s apartment: great location (near clothing stores, restaurants, and market), warm and cozy apartment, plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms and space to spread out. The only drawback was the stairs. There are two flights of stairs up to the apartment and within, narrow and winding. They are a bit tricky (especially for children, and when carrying luggage). If you don’t mind the stairs, the rest of the apartment was great. Everything we could possibly need.
Mike was very accommodating and helpful with our booking, and Hiro was a wonderful greeter and got us settled in with apartment instructions and tourist/city tips and advice.
We would recommend this apartment to others because it’s a great location, comfortable, and has great hosts.

  • Stayed at Mike's place for four nights during our winter vacation.
His place was simply fantastic. It was very spacious, clean and equipped with everything you need for stay. The location was perfect too. Many boutique stores near by and the newly opened organic market was just around the corner. We will stay here again for our next trip to Amsterdam.

  • Stayed a weekend in this lovely apartment which is right in the heart of the Nine Streets section of Amsterdam which is right next to the Prinsengracht and Keizersgracht canals.

It's pretty hip and cool and you really feel like you're staying "like a local" rather than a tourist. The location is just fantastic - you could rent a bike or walk. Leiden Square is about 5 mins away and there's a tonne of nice shopping, cafes, bars and restaurants nearby. Dam square is a bit further away, at least 20-30 mins walk. But we found ourselves more hanging around our locale.

Besides the great location, Mike's apartment was everything that it looks like. Big, spacious and lots of light - it wasn't too noisy despite the many people and restaurants below and was quite private as well with your own roof terrace where you overlook your own courtyard.

All in All, a great stay and smooth check in / check out experience.
