Very nice location, even better house and nice host. Clean and nicely decorated house. All appliances were there, dishwasher, washer, dryer, even wifi/internet etc. Love to stay again. One point for improvement, two comfortable lounge/garden chairs would fit in this house/garden.
Booked for 14 days break and had a great time. Was met by Edo (Lea's husband) who showed us around the house, which was very clean and everything looks as in the photos. There was plenty of room and good to make use of the garden. The house is located in a quite road only 10 minutes walk from Wolfheze train station. We made use of train and local bus to visit Arnhem, Nijmegen, Utrecht and Oosterbeek. Visited the Airbourne museum nearby, then to Burgers Zoo and Netherlands open air museum - 30 minutes away by train and bus. Would highly recommend for a quiet and peaceful getaway. Hope to return again next year!
Exactly as pictured and described. We loved our 9 night holiday in Lea's house. She was lovely and very helpful by explaining how to use wi-fi, heating etc. The house is absolutely spotlessly clean and so light and airy. It is very stylish and well furnished. We were very impressed with the construction and finish of the building. If we are ever able to have a second holiday home we would like one like this one!
Its location is very tranquil and a real place to relax and get away from it all. Wolfheze is a beautiful small village in the Netherlands with a small shop, restaurant and bar (great for coffee). Although the location is very quiet you are not far from many attractions due to the local rail station which is approx 5-10 minute walk away. We got the train to Amsterdam and Arnhem as day trips. You are also close to the German border, so we drove and had lunch along the river Rhine during our holiday. The Hoge Veluwe national park is only a 20-30 minute drive away and well worth the admission price for a full day. You can cycle around the extensive cycle paths and admire the beautiful scenery by making use of the free white bikes provided by the park. The museums are definitely worth seeing, especially the Kroller Muller museum which has an amazing collection by Van Gogh.
The best supermarket we visited almost daily was called Albert Heijn and this is in Oosterbeek which is only a 5 -10 minute drive away. Oosterbeek itself is a wonderful place with excellent shops and restaurants. We loved the style and beauty of the houses around this area. Everyone seems to speak English and is extremely helpful and friendly.
If you are looking for a place to stay that is busy, loud and full of bars and chain restaurants then this is not for you. However, if you are looking for a stylish, clean, peaceful place to stay but within reach of fantastic attractions then I would highly recommend Leas's beautiful house.
Tips- you need a blue badge for parking in some of the small villages/towns so that you can display the time you arrived. These are easily obtainable in certain shops but you may need to ask the nearest place to get one.
If you are travelling from the UK make sure you have Euros to hand as many of the shops and supermarkets don't accept Debit or Visa cards. You will need to pay by coins at the machine at Wolfeze train station if you plan to visit other areas. However we found debit cards accepted at some of the larger stations.
The house is nice, and the surrounding area is very quiet. Edo (Lea's husband) was kind enough to give me a ride from the train station in Utrecht to the house, when the train service was disrupted due to planned work. I have overall had a very nice stay at the house and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place in the area.
Lea and Edo are great hosts. The house is clean, comfortable and very spacious. Our 8 moths baby girl had a lot of floor to crawl :). We stayed 9 days and no problem at all. Highly recommended!
Nice, clean and everything new. Beds are very confortable.
The house is as shown in the photos published.
It's a good house to be with your family.
We enjoyed to play in the garden!
The place is really quite and peacefull.
A great place to stay with plenty of interesting bike routes to explore the surrounding area. The house is modern and feels very clean. Lea and Edos were very welcoming and helpful hosts.
