A spacious apartment in one of the most beautiful streets of the city, featuring a canal. Enjoy the peaceful place and find the bustling city center just around the corner, with loads of nice shops, musea, bars and restaurants.
It's my own house, i only rent it out when I am traveling.
Parking on the street is possible, for € 5/day and I've two simple bikes for rent for € 5/day per bike. Read through the details of my ad for more info.
My apartment is at the Heemraadsingel, one of the most beautiful, quiet and wide boulevards of the city.
Just around the corner, the city center begins, offering a wide choice of shops, bars, museums and lots of other things to do.
The apartment has one bedroom with a double bed, a big bathroom with a bath and a shower. The bathroom has a big open connection to the bedroom, so no doors in between. In the living room one person can sleep on the sofa. If necessary two more persons can sleep on the double air bed in the living room. The apartment is on the first floor (stairs, no elevator). You'll find some nice design furniture, by Martin Visser, Arne Jacobsen, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Alvar Aalto (and Ikea).
The gourmet kitchen is in the living room and it features a dish washer, five burner stove and two ovens, nespresso machine and loads of other cooking equipment. A small balcony gives a nice view on the boulevard.
You'll have access to the whole house, as i will temporarily leave my house. Only the wardrobe is not accessible for guests.
Interaction with guests
I will not be in the house while you rent it. I'll be happy to give you some advice on the city upon arrival. Living here for about 20 years, i know a lot of the city, it's events, bars, restaurants and history. I participate in Rotterdam Roundabout, an initiative that offers free city tours by volunteers. If I have time, i'd be happy to give a tour.
Other things to note
Ofcourse the house has a fast Wifi internet connection.
Bedlinnen and towels are included.
Depending on availability, you can always ask if its possible to check in early and/or check out later.
I ask you not to smoke in the house (you can smoke on the balcony) and not to bring pets.
Feel free to use the music installation, but please leave the turntable untouched and of course: mind the neighbors.
For the rest I invite you to feel at home and be as careful with my place as you would be with your own.
I love cities. Not the tourist version, but the daily life: meeting people, eating, drinking, visiting museums, concerts and theatre. I am a consultant specialized in design thinking and a graphic designer.
