Wonderful, authentic place right in the middle of berber village-life. Equiped with everything you need (great kitchen!) and very beautiful decoration. Sam is a perfect host, always friendly, uncomplicated and very quick responses.
A great place to connect with the region, far away from the hustle and buzle.

  • Sam's Mountain Riad is truly a beautiful place to stay just outside Taghazout. The house is really cozy and lovely decorated and Sam is a very charming and helpful host. This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in my journeys.

  • We had a wonderful time in Sams Riad, the house is beautiful, as soon as I entered I noticed the huge amount of love and work that went into it, to make it what it is now. All rooms are very cosy and clean, in beautiful maroccan style. The terrace has lots of space to chill in the sun, make barbecues, play with the dog and for sure you will make new friends there. The vibe is fantastic, Sam is such a darling, he helped us with everything we possibly needed and is always concerned about everybody feeling comfortable, we feel deep love and respect for him.
Regarding the (email hidden)e house couldn't be better situated, a little up on the hill, with beautiful view over the landscape and the ocean. Really close to taghazout, we miss L'Auberge, the best restaurant in the world and all the markets. There are so many things to do, horse riding on the beach is fantastic even for my friends who never sat on a horse before, surfing, quats, ...and obviously paradise valley...a must.
We miss you Sam, will be back as soon as possible, thank you for everything and give a big hug to my little Dobby !!

  • Incredible house, and host. Beautiful riad just outside of Tagazhout, a little bit away from the bustle of the town. A little walk in to town (about 30 minutes) probably good to rent a car, but totally worth it. We will be telling friends about this great place.

    Thanks Sam.

  • Stayed at Sams recently for 3 nights, and loved it. Sam is hilarious, and the other guests were fun and interesting. It was clean and nice and the only advice I can offer to anyone staying there or anywhere in Taghazout, is bring lots of beer from Agadir when u go as there's no beer available anywhere in Taghazout Cheers

  • Sam is the perfect gentleman, a great host and full of extremely useful advice for Tagazoute and Morocco in general. The riad itself couldn't have been better converted from its original state - it's styled in locally sourced fabrics, metalwork and wood, has a great layout on both floors, and is generally a really relaxed place - kitchens are also well equipped and there's a barbecue. Surfers: lots of space for boards and suits, plus this is better than most surf accommodation, and being able to walk to the break from your room is overrated - you're generally going to drive somewhere anyway...

  • Can't imagine a better place to have spent last week. The house and Sam are amazing!! It's a place/vibe that makes you feel at home instantly, where you can walk around without the lights on at night because it gets in your system(if you need to pee at night for example) it's a small 30 minute walk from the beach up Into the mountains. A walk we took every morning, nice to stretch the legs and discover the surroundings!! And you meet nice local people this way, friendly old men and goat-herds for example! I could write so much more nice stuff but the overall conclusion is WICKED PLACE

Im originally from the north of England . I came to morocco the first time 11 years ago and fell in love. Then 5 years ago I returned for a 5 week holiday and after 2 weeks i rented a house for a year and decided to stay. five years later im still here Having spent 4 years living in Taghazout I longed for something a bit more traditional and less touristy and then found a run down riad in Ait bihi 2.9km into the mountains behind Taghazout and after spending the last 11 months renovating my Riad it has now become the hidden gem just outside Taghazout. With my years of experience in morocco I can show you the hidden beauty of Morocco and make sure you have a stay to remember. Your here for a good time not a long time ;)
