A comfortable studio in the center of San Francisco's Marina District.
The studio has a main bedroom/living room which includes an 50" plasma tv, surround sound speakers, ps3, large L shaped couch, queen sized bed, and much more. The studio also contains a small kitchen, walk in closet, and full bathroom. There is plenty of light through the windows but the real view is right above the apartment on the roof where you can see all of the Marina, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the bay.
Interaction with Guests
I am still getting to know San Francisco myself but I grew up in Marin and am happy to answer any questions and recommend places to see around the city.
The apartment building is located on Chestnut Street along with many popular bars, restaurants, and shopping. Within walking distance are the Marina Green, Palace of Fine Arts, Chrissy Field, the Golden Gate Bridge, the Presidio, Union Street, windy Lombard Street, Fisherman's Wharf and Fort Mason. There is a large park across the street that has tennis courts, basketball courts, golf greens, baseball diamonds, and plenty of grass space to hang out.
A few main bus lines run right outside the building including #30 which provides access to Union Square and downtown. Lyft and Uber are both great services that offer cheap rides around the city and run from apps on your smart phone.
Other Things to Note
- Wireless internet and cable tv available
- Heater and fan available
- Although small, the kitchen is fully functional with a full size fridge, oven, stove, espresso machine, and microwave
- Safeway is 3 blocks away for purchasing groceries
- Plenty of restaurants available a few blocks up
- Elevator in building
- NO smoking is allowed in the studio
- Parking is NOT included, street parking is usually available within a few blocks and is free during the weekends
- Fresh sheets and towels provided
No smoking in apartment, no parties, keep noise down after 9pm on weeknights, 11pm on weekends, and have a great stay!
I live here most of the time so please be respectful to the neighbors as well as to my belongings.
Chris was great and very communicative. His place was clean and centrally located for a great weekend in San Francisco.
The location was awesome. The studio was quiet - even for a mid afternoon nap for a toddler - and clean. Even though there's no official parking, street parking was easy to find on the weekend.
Chris was an awesome host! We actually never got the chance to meet him but this did not cause any problems what so ever. Chris was very efficient and organized from the day we started inquiring to the day we left his apartment. He was also very helpful and responded quickly to emails. The apartment was also perfect. Even though we did not meet Chris we imagine that this guy must live the life. The location is perfect for getting around anywhere and the view from the roof top was very special. I highly recommend renting this apartment if ever you are visiting San Francisco!!
Chris' place was a great fit for my cousin and I. Clean, centrally located in the Marina, and well put together. Chris was easy to communicate with and made us feel very welcome. I definitely recommend staying here.
We have been staying in Chris' apartment for a few days and enjoyed it very much. The communication was perfect, we could quickly arrange a later arrival time because our flight was late. The apartment is very clean and cozy. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchen is well-equipped. The pictures are accurate. The apartment is located close to the Marina, Fisherman's Wharf is about 15min by foot in a quiet neighborhood. The bus (line 30) stops very close to the building at the end of the block. Thanks for letting us stay at your apartment! Highly recommended.
The apartment was clean and ready when we arrived! Fresh towels and a clean kitchen and bathroom were available and the cozy space was perfect for a weekend getaway. The view from the roof was great also! Chris was easy to get in touch with and the key exchange went very smoothly.
Chris's studio was perfect for what we were looking for. The location is pretty good with Fillmore, Lombard st, Fisherman's Wharf, Ft Mason all within walking distance. It was clean and tidy and we never felt unsafe in the neighborhood. Also, the rooftop access was a HUGE plus. On a clear day the Golden Gate bridge is visible, a long with Marin, Sausalito, Alcatraz etc... The apt get's a little warm on warmer days but I'm guessing this is the trade off of being an interior unit (less noise). The only other con is public transit to/from this area can be a pain depending on where you're going as there aren't really any direct lines. Chris was great host and I'd definitely recommend his apartment!
I recently moved to San Francisco after graduating college a few months ago from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. I take a lot of weekend trips to go camping, visiting friends, partying at music festivals, traveling the world, etc, so I would ideally like other people to enjoy staying at my apartment while I'm not using it.
One of the big reasons I live in SF is because there are always tons of events, restaurants, bars, and activities to check out all the time. If you ever need tips on where to go in the city or in Marin I am fairly knowledgeable and would be happy to point you in the right direction.
