Hidden away in the woods just 3 miles from Jay Peak resort is this delightful, cozy Vermont cabin with fabulous views in winter. This vacation rental is perfect fo 4 persons (not suitable for very young children as there is a spiral staircase to get to the first floor). It has everything you want for creating memories this winter : Wifi access, Netflix streaming, fully equipped kitchen and of course a wood burning fireplace.

The space
As soon as you enter, you feel the love, care and warmth that this Montreal citizen has given to create her vacation getaway. Absolutely meticulous in cleanliness, the selection of furnishings of this Vermont cabin evoke a sense of peace and tranquility far from the madding crowd. It offers comfort warmth and total relaxation to visitors who fall in love all over again when staying at Black Bear Panabode.

The property is accessible by a well maintained dirt road but all guests should make sure that they have good winter tires and stay in the middle of the road when driving in winter. There are ditches on both sides of the road that are hidden by snows, and in Alpine Haven, the community where Black Bear Panabode is located, we sometimes get upwards of 400 inches of snow each year.

If skiing or riding at Jay Peak Resort which is 3 miles away is not your cup of tea, then you can explore the woods surrounding the property with snowshoes or cross country skis but please note we do not supply snowshoes or skis. These can be rented at First Trax or Jay Cloud Cyclery in Montgomery Center which is just an 8 minute drive away.

Not to be missed is a visit to the Vermont Salt Cave Spa which is also in Montgomery Center and has been voted a finalist for Best Day Spa in Vermont for the last 3 years.
