A beautiful quality 5 star villa approx. 3 km from the Ubud Palace which is the centre of Ubud. Rice fields surround the villa and at the rear is a magnificent jungle view. The villa is private with two very separate air conditioned bedrooms both with ensuites and private patios. There is a kingsize bed in the main house and a double bed in the smaller guest room. The pool is magical, overlooking the jungle with a large bale and outdoor kitchen along side. All visitors comment on the 'energy' of the place. It is truly peaceful and quiet.
The villa is typical of Bali in that the design is very much outdoor living with a separate covered outdoor kitchen and bale.
Airport pick up is available at the lowest rate. This is recommended as the villa is sometimes difficult to find for a driver not from Ubud.
Six days a week and for four hours a day there is a maid who cleans. She is happy to cook if you wish for an extra payment from you.
A gardener and pool person comes twice a week.
It is best if you hire scooters to get around. Drivers are very cheap to get to and from the villa.
Guests will have private access to the whole villa.

I am often travelling so not always in Ubud. I check my emails many times a day should I need to be contacted. Please enjoy the villa.
The neighbourhood is very beautiful. The village was featured in the 'Eat Pray Love' film. What I personally love about it, is that it is not a typical village populated by expats. It's a very typical Balinese village with a famous Jegog temple nearby. The village people are very friendly and will welcome you. Enjoy!
Walking to Ubud takes 35 minutes and is 3km.
The trip in to and out of Ubud with a driver costs about $4 or 40,000rp.
Scooters can be hired for you so that they are at the villa on your arrival. Just let me know. They cost approx. $6 or 60,000rp per day.
Bicycles can be hired also .,
Please treat the villa with love and respect.
I thought the pictures and explanations and reviews give you the best idea of what you are going to get but you still don't believe how amazing it is till you set foot. its minutes from UBUD yet far enough to be in the middle of no where and to get real peace of quiet. i needed to recharge my batteries and my wife and i had not had a vacation for many years and this was our honeymoon. I would give this place 5 * rating and would recommend anyone who wants a relaxing stay in ubud to book this place. i love that it was slightly out of the way.
The staff were friendly and Wayan catered for a paleo breakfast which was really nice of her. i have no complaints, you just have to learn how to relax, thats my only advise, and relaxing here was so easy..... thanks Sandy!
We had the pleasure of staying at Villa Rumah di Surga for 5 nights which is located up in the hills amongst the rice paddies. The villa is beautiful, definitely a hidden haven, if you want to relax and get away from it all, yet have centre of ubud only a 5 minute scooter ride down the hill, easy as! The beds are large ~ a little hard but still comfy, the pool is amazing and you really feel one with nature and your surroundings.
Wayan the maid… where do i start, I recommend you use her as much as possible, she literally is at your beck and call. She cooks amazing omelette's & banana pancakes for breakfast, is a masseuse and gives the best balinese massages at your villa. She also cleans daily (except tues) and will help you with any tours, organising scooters you name it ~ she's an all rounder! They don't get paid much so I recommend tipping even though you don't have to, and be generous she's well worth it!! The one thing I regret is not being able to pack her in my suitcase to take home with me!
Overall was an amazing 5 days at a beautiful villa in a perfect location… Thanks also for the late checkout Sandy will definitely be back!!
My wife and I stayed here for the first week of our honeymoon and it was perfect. It was an ideal location from which to explore Ubud and also have a very private, tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle and all the other travelers. The pictures and description of the Villa are very accurate. Wayan (the maid) is remarkably helpful. Don't miss the opportunity to have her make you an amazing Balinese feast for dinner. I would highly recommend a stay here for your adventure in Bali.
I cannot fully describe how fabulous this place is ... Truly a slice of heaven in the jungle on one side and rice fields on the other. We loved every minute and I can't wait to return. It is about 3kms from Ubud - we took scooter rides to the yogabarn most mornings and once the heat got too overwhelming we were whisked back to sip coconut water and in the serene pool... Wayan looks after the house and is a delight- a fabulous cook, sometime-bike taxi, and a beautiful warm and engaging soul ... She makes the space a special haven... Sandy was an extremely helpful and responsive host ... Loved it
Thanks Sandy for an enjoyable and hassle free stay. Driver was waiting at airport as organised by her and the villa was exactly as it looks in the pictures. Maid came on time to make breakfast each day. Pool was nice and clean. The town is about 35 mins walk downhill or a less than 10 min cab ride. There was a cab / tourist office a few mins walk from the villa that took us down if we were in a rush. Would happily stay again.
The villa is exactly as described.. It's pirate yet not secluded being only a few kilometres from ubud centre.. An easy ride on a scooter in a couple of minutes. The pictures tell all of the villa, it's beautiful and a credit to the owner..(I wish it was mine) and I'm sure that anyone that stays there will enjoy every minute of it as we did recently..I'd return again anytime to the villa and to ubud!
True to its namesake, this house is quite heavenly. I stayed last week with a group of friends, and we loved it. It's spacious, beautiful, serene, and well-maintained. Best of all, it's isolated from Ubud just enough so that it's quiet and calm, but not so far that you can't easily walk into town. They'll make you banana ginger pancakes in the morning, and cook dinner for you if you'd like! We were sad to leave the House in Heaven and could've happily remained there during our entire stay in Bali (but wanted to see the beach, too). I highly recommend this house as a peaceful alternative to the hustle & bustle of central ubud.
