A unique opportunity to stay in a traditional Mongolian yurt privately located in a very tranquil area of our gardens. Furnished with a queen-size bed and hand-woven carpets, the five-metre wide yurt has traditional hand painted woodwork. It is very cosy - warmed by the sun in the day, with a heater for night and it is fully insulated. Nearby the kitchen and shower/wash room are for your exclusive se. The spa, pizza oven, bb q, internet are included. Yoga, massage and breakfast is available.

Beautiful yurt on great property. No internet service in room was sort of a bummer, but a short walk to main property gets service.

Steve's place is truly one of a kind. The yurt alone is absolutely fabulous (so cozy and comfortable), but even beyond that, the community and property that Steve and his family have built is really something special. Steve and Haley were gracious hosts, and we had so much fun sp…

The yurt at the Sandcastle was the highlight during our trip to New Zealand. The location (close to the beach and town), the hot tub and sauna, and the amazing breakfast we ordered all were better than we expected. Steve gave us great tips on places to visit while in Pohara.

I've this theory that, if you bore through the main street of Takaka at an angle of 87 degrees to the road surface, you'll eventually come out onto Yazgar's farm near Woodstock, NY. Takaka is the new hippie capital of the world and Sandcastle adds to that ambience. We loved stayi…
