Quiet neighborhood easy to get around. Close to all the main highways and off of a few main roads. Close to a ton of awesome food and entertainment. 15 min drive to down town.
Pet friendly! Super friendly Dog and 2 cats in home also:-)
Hello! My space is great! It is a nice 1 bedroom (queen bed) in a 2 bedroom apartment 1 bath on the 2nd (top) floor with a balcony and vaulted ceiling in the living room. I have a trained lab mix and 2 friendly cats so please be pet friendly! You may even bring your pet but please ask first.
There is a laundry facility, gym, and pool in the apartment complex.
I live right off of Burnet Rd near 183/35 and MO PAC 1 intersection.
Also, I am 1 mile away from the JJ Pickle Research Campus
Close to Dell as well
10 min from the Arboretum
There are a lot of things with in a very short drive from my place. Such as Anderson Rd which has some fantastic food, Whole foods (north location) and the Alamo Draft House and some pretty unique shops and local eateries. So you don't always have to go downtown for great food and a good time.
I am a very outgoing person and love to meet new people!
I hope to see you soon!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
I REQUIRE A PROFILE PICTURE WHEN REQUESTING A ROOM FOR VERIFICATION PURPOSES:) Thanks for understanding:)
***If you make a request after 10 pm, I may be sleeping and I will respond to your request as soon I wake up in the morning:) Thanks! Happy travels!!

Interaction with Guests
We always like to see our guests!! That's the most fun about Airbnb!! Totally down to have to a drink or take you somewhere we love. Although we understand guests like exploring on their own.
Location is so sweet! Short drive or bus ride to everything. Right off of all the main highways and streets so very easy to get around.
For all you foodies out there:
North Lamar has HEB grocery store 5 min drive. Alamo Draft house, Common Interest Karaoke Bar, Pho Hong Vietnamese Cuisine, La Cocnia de Consuela Mexican restaurant, The Egg and I, The Omlettry, Kick Ass Coffee, Hop Doddy, The Domain Shopping Center, Sherlocks Live Music every night. All this...and so much more within a 5 to 15 min drive.
Sites to see: Mt. Bonell, McKinney Falls, Barton Springs, Hamilton Pool (45 min drive), Rainey Street (dog friendly place with unique bars), 6th Street, East and West 6th are awesome too!! Although Austin is known for Dirty 6th... if you are down for some crazy times.... Yep all that, and it is a very quiet area so you can get some good sleep to rest up for your next adventurous day in this crazy town!
Other places I would recommend... Azul Tequila (AMAZING FOOD AND DRINKS), Continental club on South Congress, Swifts Attic for $1 mimosas on Sundays they also have a Bloody Mary Bar, Speaking of bloody mary's, Casino el Camino has crazy ones on Sundays so get there early, Hole in the Wall for live music.....and the list could go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on.....
I live right off of Burnet Rd near 183/35 and MO PAC 1 intersection which will take you pretty much anywhere in about 10-15 min by car (about 20 min to 30 min by using the Rapid bus) to get downtown and it is pretty easy. (about 1 hour in rush hour driving a car) There is a bus stop (240 bus will take 1 hour to get downtown) right outside the building and there is a late bus bus stop for all you party people just a 1/2 mile from the house. and a rapid bus stop 1 and a 1/2 miles from the house.
There is the 801 Metro Rapid Bus that will take you down town in 20 min. It is located at the HEB on Lamar. Just park your car in the back closest to the bus stop and you will be on your way! Or you can walk it is about 1 1/2 miles . There is now the 803 Rapid bus which will take you downtown as well and down Burnet Rd. that is 1 mile from the house.
Other Things to Note
My cat Daisy loves to sleep with guests. If you do not want her to you can get her out of the room by saying "Daisy OUT" in a firm voice. She might resist a little but just repeat it. She just likes to cuddle.
Clean- please leave the space as it was presented to you
Quiet- from 10 pm to 10 am is quiet time at the complex
Respect my four legged children
My dog does NOT get table food. She has bad allergies. Cats do not get table food either.
Please keep toilet seat down it's only fair that everyone should have to lift the lid:)
Please rinse dishes and load dishes in the dishwasher.
Have a ton of fun in Austin!!!
Thanks for choosing me to be your host!!
It was my first airbnb stay I've ever done and there was a few mild worries on my part and mostly chose it because "meh! It's close to my new job." But it turns out that...
Michelle and Usbaldo are super awesome! I came down here to move to Austin and stayed with them for a month so I could find a place and by the end was kinda bummed that I "moved out".
Also, the three creatures that live there are cuddly and awesome.
Overall rate it "an awesome month" and any pitiful complaints I could make up (they didn't have a Ferrari for me to do donuts in) were negated by the simple fact that they were cool.
My conversations with Michelle were very pleasant! Sadly circumstances prevented me from traveling to Austin, but I look forward to staying with them on a future visit!
During my short stay in Austin, I didn't interact much with Michelle and Usbaldo, but I had a great experience staying at their place. Even though their place is small, the room is situated at the opposite side of the apartment, leaving you some privacy. Since their place is small, please expect to be running into contact with their friendly and adorable 2 cats and dog.
All in all, the room and bathroom are clean. There are also amenities, such as shampoo and soap that are provided, which is always nice. The check-in and check-out process was easy. There are specific instructions on how to check-in on their Airbnb page and instructions. The only minor con to staying here is the location -- I thought it was quite far from downtown (about 20 min. drive w/o traffic). Since we stayed here for SXSW, taking an Uber there cost us around $30. I'm sure the rates are more reasonable during off-season.
Michelle and Osvaldo really came through in a pinch. A last minute job interview in Austin smack in the middle of SXSW event left few reasonably price rooms available. The River's came through for me perfectly. Stay was short but sweet.
We were made to feel very welcome and their home is in a secure location. They went out of their way to help us with various requests and we were sorry not to be able to spend more time there. We thank them for their advice about what to do on Austin - we had a great time!
Both Michelle and Usbaldo are very nice and accommodating. They quickly showed me around the house and let me know all the things that I could use during my stay. The room was clean and comfy.
The place is very close to my workplace, so it's perfect for me while I was waiting for my car to arrive.
I will definitely stay at their place again!!
Had a great time with Michelle and Usbaldo. Their place is lovely and a good location to get around. All their pets are adorable, we did end up with a bit of a soft spot for fuzzy paws poi :-) Michelle even brought back her bday brownies from work to share with us! Thanks for a fab stay in beautiful Austin.

We love meeting new people and I like to be active such as hiking, running, and exploring (usually means getting lost with style). Always up for a new adventure!
