I have a private room available in East Williamburg in my 2 bedroom apt. The room has private entrance and private bathroom entrance. I'm walking distance from all major train lines and Bedford Ave, is 5 minutes from my location by train. There is an Internet connection in the room and the building is wired for Wi-Fi. The room has a brand new full size bed and dresser, and measures 11' X 9' with 10 ft ceilings. There is a very well known music club on the ground floor of the building which hosts live music on the weekends, and there is some sound leakage on the weekend nights, but otherwise all is calm during the week. About me: I'm an older musician who's used to being around arty and creative types, i'm relatively quiet, and i'm very easygoing and accomodating. My rates for the stay are 60 per night/single and double occupancy. If you're interested, give me a shout. Thanks! P.S to all my JUNE, JULY & AUGUST guests, there will a minimum 2-night stay required to book. NO overnight stays during that time period will be accepted. Thanks! P.P.S There will be no check ins on the following dates: Dec. 24th and 25th, Nov 24 or 25th, or New Year's Eve or New Year's Day. If you are already here, great! No arrivals or departures during those time frames, please! Thanks!
Interaction with Guests
Very little, as the room is virtually private and is at the back of the apartment with its own entrance and own bathroom entrance.
Because the room has been very popular with frequent back-to-back bookings, I must have the check out time be firm,as I need some time to clean and prepare the room for the next guest(s). Check-in time Mon-Fri is either at 10 AM on the morning of your arrival or 6:00 PM on the evening of your arrival.Check-out is 8:30 - 9 AM on the day of your departure, flexible if there are no incoming guests immediately after you arriving that day.If there are no bookings after you I can be flexible with the time, however if there is an incoming guest that morning check-out MUST be no later than 9AM. Best times to reach me for bookings are 8-10 AM mornings and after 8:30 PM EST to about 12AM. I'll be able to get right back to you if you contact me during those periods. At any other times, give me a least a couple of hours and i'll be right back in touch. Thanks!
The reservation was canceled 24 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Lou es un gran anfitrión, nos hizo sentir muy cómodos y nos ayudo cuando teníamos dudas. Ideal para dormir después de un largo día de caminata. Cerca del metro J,M y L
Lou is a wonderful host. Very friendly and accommodating.
The place itself is very loud at night, due to a bar (with live rock/metal bands and dj's playing) directly under the apartment. Earplugs won't help, so be advised.
The room and bathroom are old, worn down and rather unclean, we did not feel comfortable sleeping and showering there and would not stay there again.
On the flipside, it's only a 5-10 minute walk to the J line to Manhattan and a great spot to go and discover Brooklyn.
You'll also be able to save a few bucks by staying here, as it is rather affordable for NY's standards.
It's a good choice if you're on a really tight budget, otherwise we'd advise to look for something else.
The room has its own entrance, which make it easy to do your thing, and the bathroom is shared (with Lou having his own entrance).
The bar below has some good Mexican food, but it can get pretty loud in the room, so if you want to sleep before 12-1am, it might not be the perfect place for you. If you're in NY to enjoy the city, it probably doesn't matter much.
The direct neighbourhood seemed a bit rough at first, but was actually quite nice and just a 10 min walk from central Williamsburg etc. For me the place was good enough, but if you need it to be very clean, quiet and central, it might not be your first pick.
The room is about a seven minute walk from the L train. It was above a bar in Williamsburg. Lou was very nice and accommodating.
Lou was a great host. His responses were quick, which was great since we were a last minute booking. You do indeed have a private room with a key, which is nice if you're planning on staying more than one night. There's not much to the room, what you see in the picture is what you get, but you're in NY to sightsee, so that doesn't matter. There was a performance in the bar below while we were there, but it's not so loud it's distracting.
Lou is a great host and his description of the place is very accurate. He was helpful and provided us with towels. The bathroom is a bit tight but very well kept.
Location is great, about 5-7 minute walk to 2 subway lines that go into Manhattan.
The bar below is noisy on weekends but that only lasts until about 1 am. Not for a light sleeper.
