About this listing
I have a private room available in East Williamburg in my 2 bedroom apt. The room has private entrance and private bathroom entrance. I'm walking distance from all major train lines and Bedford Ave, is 5 minutes from my location by train. There is an Internet connection in the room and the building is wired for Wi-Fi. The room has a brand new full size bed and dresser, and measures 11' X 9' with 10 ft ceilings. There is a very well known music club on the ground floor of the building which hosts live music on the weekends, and there is some sound leakage on the weekend nights, but otherwise all is calm during the week. About me: I'm an older musician who's used to being around arty and creative types, i'm relatively quiet, and i'm very easygoing and accomodating. My rates for the stay are 60 per night/single and double occupancy. If you're interested, give me a shout. Thanks! P.S to all my JUNE, JULY & AUGUST guests, there will a minimum 2-night stay required to book. NO overnight stays during that time period will be accepted. Thanks! P.P.S There will be no check ins on the following dates: May 25th (Memorial Day), July 4th (Independence Day), Dec. 24th and 25th, Nov 24 or 25th, or New Year's Eve or New Year's Day. If you are already here, great! No arrivals or departures during those time frames, please! Thanks!
And now for just a minor quibble.........
Normally, when guests approach me with a booking request they do it as a single person, but they mention that they will be traveling with a companion and mention them by name in the booking request so that I know to be expecting a couple when they arrive. That's great! I appreciate that!
This message is not for those people. This message is for the people that book as a SINGLE traveler, make NO mention of a traveling companion in their booking correspondence with me, and then show up at my door with an unannounced and unexpected guest in tow. If you are arriving as a single traveler I will be expecting a single traveler. If you do arrive with an unannounced guest:
Your reservation will be CANCELLED immediately at the front door and you will not be allowed upstairs-
Interaction with Guests
Very little, as the room is virtually private and is at the back of the apartment with its own entrance and own bathroom entrance.
Because the room has been very popular with frequent back-to-back bookings, I must have the check out time be firm,as I need some time to clean and prepare the room for the next guest(s). Check-in time Mon-Fri is either at 10 AM on the morning of your arrival or 6:00 PM on the evening of your arrival.Check-out is 8:30 - 9 AM on the day of your departure, flexible if there are no incoming guests immediately after you arriving that day.If there are no bookings after you I can be flexible with the time, however if there is an incoming guest that morning check-out MUST be no later than 9AM. Best times to reach me for bookings are 8-10 AM mornings and after 8:30 PM EST to about 12AM. I'll be able to get right back to you if you contact me during those periods. At any other times, give me a least a couple of hours and i'll be right back in touch. Thanks!
It was a pleasure staying at Lou's, he was a very welcoming and informative host. The room, and adjoining bathroom, were clean and as advertised. The bar downstairs didn't really pose a problem as the room was at the back of the building, and we were knackered. The flat was located in a fairly quiet area with good amenities, about a ten minute walk from the subway. Thanks Lou!
The room looks exactly like the one the picture and has an own entrance. It's on the second floor over a bar named Don Pedro, so you could hear bands playing, if there are gigs, but they all end around 1am. The area is made for young and adventurous people, because it's the hipster and vintage part of New York. Our host Lou was really nice and discrete. He offers you help whenever you need any.
Lou was a wonderful host and made me feel at home. He helped me navigate the neighborhood. He has an excellent location in East Williamsburg close to several train lines, bars, and restaurants. I would highly recommend his place to anyone traveling to Brooklyn and needing a place to stay.
Lou was a great host. It was great staying at his place. Thanks for everything!!!!!
Nice warm welcome, fine environment, the room was small and cozy. Maybe bit loud for some for us it was fine.
