First off ... Ann was great in communicating prior to the trip. She was helpful in general about our trip to Puerto Rico. She offered great tips And answered any questions I had. The directions she gave were so accurate and it made the arrival so much easier. Second... OH MY.. The view at this house was amazing. This house was more than even imagined! Oasis doesn't cover it. A little piece of heaven for sure. A perfect place when you want to escape the realitities of the world. Amazing. We had everything we needed and were created with a beautiful fresh local fruit basket which was so nice. This house truly is a gem in Sabana Grande. Last, but not least.. Dalton. He was also a gem. He greeted us and made us feel really welcomed. He was available for our needs and was super friendly. We enjoyed getting to talk to him as much as we enjoyed being there. Definitely a great experience and I look forward to another visit hopefully soon. Thank you both for this great experience.
What a wonderful place to spend a few days in the beautiful mountains of southern Puerto Rico. Ann's home was extremely clean, quaint, and comfortable. Dalton had prepared everything for my arrival on premises, though well before that, Ann had provided extensive pre-arrival directions and information that included a thoughtful description of the area and things to do. The descriptions and photos on the website are all very accurate. There was even an abundant basket of local fruit provided that I received as a welcome gift. Sabana Grande is very conveniently located to explore the hills or find your way to a number of beaches, all within reach of a short drive. The area and home, which sits up in the hills, includes a fantastic view, and could not be a more perfect place to really spend some relaxing time surrounded by nature and fresh air. I would highly recommend this place and hope to return as soon as I can! Thanks Ann!
This has to be the best place to stay in all of Puerto Rico! It took me a bit to find it, but that's not saying much because I have a pretty bad sense of direction. You couldn't ask for better hosts and I hope to visit them again when I come back to Puerto Rico!
After being a little frustrated with all the driving we were doing in PR, this was the perfect place to stay and explore and relax. The design of the house is such that you feel like you are outside with the rich flora and fauna that surrounds the home. The hiking trail and waterfall was a nice treat to have right at our doorstep. Though we very much enjoyed our privacy, from other reviews I've read, it would have been nice to have the Bingham's around to give suggestions (and that wonderful breakfast I had read about) as it seemed that Dalton wasn't really familiar with the area. Note that there is no where to eat nearby and the grocery store has very little produce. So do a little research for restaurants and be prepared to drive at least 30-40 minutes to get anywhere. Lastly, we received impeccable directions, as we arrived at night and followed those steep, twisting roads and made it without issue.
I'm sorry we were not able to be there also - as that was an enjoyable time for us to share local info with our guests. I do believe that I had mentioned about Ely's Bakery and Pizza right at the intersection before turning on our road 365. There are a few other local restaurants close by I will be sure to share in the future.
Wow, words fail me here. The house and property are heartbreakingly beautiful, with tropical fruit trees right in front of the terrace and a beautiful view of the hills and valley below. The hiking trail and waterfall on the property are equally stunning. Can't recommend this place enough! Ann was very helpful with recommendations and their caretaker Dalton took great care of us once on site.
Ann and her family are incredibly gracious hosts. Their property is a hidden gem, tucked far away from any town center. The beds were comfortable, the towels plentiful, the shower was warm (a rarity in Puerto Rico), and the breakfast food was fantastic. The trails behind the house lead down to a beautiful set of small waterfalls, and their awesome dog came along to guide us on our hike down there. The view was incredible, and the family did everything to make sure our time there was relaxing and enjoyable.
We enjoyed our stay at Ann's property. My 2yr old loved her goats, the dog, and all the other animals. I would call her place a wonderful little homestead. Sleeping was hot though and beds could use improvements as they are soft, high and noisy. All the wonderful things to eat made up for the beds; Breakfest was delicious and catered to our strange food restrictions. We also did a short notice packed lunch and it was perfect. I helped Ann make a menu to mske all my family members happy and she went above and beyond by added in a few extra items we all enjoyed. Oh and the fresh baked sourdough bread was delicious also. I highly recommend bug spray if your planning on hiking and follow the left trail. Also don't forget to collect a few mangos on your way down the road, they were still plentiful in july. Hope you enjoy this space as much as we did.
Warning to parents with small independent children. The hills around the house are steep. Supervise at all times. The screen doors on the apt lock but would not hold a child in as my son pushed one screen out.

Nature lovers, relocated from Eastern Washington. We came to Puerto Rico with a wealth of experience, from hotel and restaurant skills to down on the farm home cooking, As we developed our vacation rental we have enjoyed sharing our gift of hospitality with you. We have spent two glorious years here in Puerto Rico and because of unforeseen circumstance we have to temperately return to Washington - we have reliable property managers who will have your room clean and ready for your arrival. So we are not able at this time to offer the breakfast service but both our units have complete kitchens for your food prep and an awesome outdoor shared grill (if both units are occupied).
