Guests love this home’s scenic location.

Nestled in the woods on an acre of land sits this adorable, peaceful A-frame! Stay and relax in the hot tub or venture just 15 minutes to Castle Rock Lake/ just 30 minutes to the Dells. There is plenty to keep you entertained - including a fire pit, 2 decks, games, and more! Enjoy access to snowmobile and ATV trails directly from the backyard. If you need to stay connected, there is WIFI, and if you need to work, we've got you covered with a desk and workspace! We also have a Roku tv!

The space
This cabin is for you if you:

-Love the outdoors and plan to maximize your outside time. You’ll be close to hiking trails and the lake! Or maybe you want to spend time on the decks, around a fire, or in the hot tub.

-Are looking for a rustic, minimalist experience with basic amenities.

-Want to disconnect from your busy life. How about a vintage board game? We’ve got you.

-Enjoy the quiet and seclusion of the woods, away from town. You’re likely to see wildlife on the property!

-Don’t mind getting cozy with your travel companions! The cabin interior is about 800sq feet, and the upstairs bedroom space is limited by the pitch of the A frame roof.

-Enjoy warming up in front of a fire, sipping your favorite beverage at the end of the day. Our fire stove is the best way to keep yourself and the cabin toasty in the cooler months.

This cabin is not for you if you:

-Are not able to climb stairs. The cabin sits in a little valley and you must be able to descend stairs to enter. Both bedrooms are also upstairs, and the stairs are narrow! The sleeper sofa is on the main level.

-Would like access to more modern, higher end amenities or kitchen gadgets. We have plenty of kitchenwares, but have kept it to the essentials.
-Need more space. As mentioned above, the cabin interior sq ft is limited, and the bathroom has a small shower stall.

-Need a lot of privacy inside. There are curtains at the entrance to the bedrooms but NO doors. The property itself is quite private.

-Want to be in the thick of the action! We are close to town and many activities, but please expect to drive a bit. We are 10-15 minutes away from town and a grocery store.

-Are very allergic to pets. We are pet friendly and many people do bring dogs! The cabin is thoroughly cleaned between guests and there are air purifiers.

-Are sensitive to the elements. There is no central heating/cooling. In the warmer months, window AC units will be installed. In the cooler months, there is a fire stove (most effective) and gas furnace for use.

Other things to note
If you are planning to visit in the winter, we recommend traveling in a vehicle with 4WD capability. We do shovel on the property, but some of the back roads that lead to the cabin can be challenging to navigate in the snow!

If you are bringing a pet, know that our yard is not fenced in, and please pick up after them!

There are security cameras on the property for safety, but exterior only - one is located by the front sliding door, and one by the back door.

Bring your own firewood, it is not supplied.

We also ask that your pet not go on the couch or beds. Please bring blankets for pets, the couch is brand new so we do not want any damage done to it. We appreciate your help with this!!

Bears have been sighted in the area recently. To help keep everyone safe (including the bears), please keep food and trash inside and make sure doors are closed. Thank you!
