Comfortable bed, plenty of sleeping space, nice garden, good Internet and responsive host. Kitchen and living room could be brighter (as is typical for a town house) but are functional and spacious - upstairs bedrooms and bathroom are large and bright with very high ceilings. Overall a good experience.
Susi's townhouse was our home base for four days while we were in Brooklyn. The location is wonderful: central, lots of great places to eat and drink right nearby (the best bagels in New York are only a few blocks away) easy to get around, but calm and neighborhoody too. Susi's place has everything you might need, and is exceptionally spacious, especially the kitchen, which was a great shared space for our group of five--we loved eating breakfast at the big wooden table. Fast wi-fi too! :)
Clean, comfortable, spacious.
Susi was a great host. She is very responsive and was flexible with check-in and check-out times. She made sure the heater would be turned on given an announced snow storm. Her house is in lovely park slope and she has a very helpful upstairs neighbor who was also responsive and gave us the keys to the house. There is a metro stop two streets down and it's a direct line (R) to downtown (careful with express lines though, which tend to skip the stop). The downstairs/basement had a very functional kitchen and patio area. The bathroom was good too.
That said, the house felt a little old and uncombed (but when you travel I guess you don't really stay home that much so it served our purpose) and some of the beds weren't that comfy.
Susi was an excellent host, she provided everything that was promised. Her home is very large (really large for New York!) and quite near the R subway line, groceries, delis, cafes, etc. There were only two of us (there was supposed to be a third person, but at last minute could not come) so that made it even more spacious. Beds were comfortable, Wifi worked easily, her upstairs neighbor Kathy was helpful directing us to the car service around the corner, etc. Great Stay!
Very conveniently located. Host was accomodating, flexible and nice. Spacious with ample room to sleep 7 on beds in 2 bedrooms and one closet converted to a small bedroom. Great value. Street parking is easy. Place was clean, though an older home with some ventilation challenges typical of the age.
