Interaction with Guests
Now I'm back home in my country, but my roomate Luca is the one who receives the guest and also is the excellent cook who can make breakfast for you. He is the one who helps physically there, I'm the one that helps via internet everything. Online and offline services ;)
I call it the Beverly Hills of Sayulita. It is residential and kinda fancy "sayulita" style of course. Also this neighbourhood is in a hill, so you have the nice view, and at the same time you are steps away for downtown. Not as other neighbourhoods at the other side of the river that you don't feel really IN Sayulita.
Everything is at walking distance. That's the big advantage of this apartment!
If you want information on how to get from Puerto Vallarta (Airport) to the house, do the reservation and we will send you an email with directions.
Please don't loose your keys! First of all, we would have to charge for the change of locks of the door, but also you will loose precious time lock outside waiting to solve the problem. We could ask for a security deposit, but really? That's not cool, no one wants that. So we just ask you that only rule, don't loose you key!
Departamento céntrico con lo básico, a 5 minutos de la playa caminando
As they say: location location! Easy walk to the beach and town which is what we wanted. We felt it was a little overpriced for how bare-bones it was and would probably shop around next time. There wasn't really any place to hang out in there unless it was raining. One principle complaint was that the water pressure was inconsistent and we had no hot water in our four night stay. However, place was clean and our host was easy to contact, the apartment didn't significantly impede our wonderful time in Sayulita!
Overall the apartment has everything you need and is super convenient to town, I'd recommend it to someone looking for a no frills home base, it won't suit for someone looking for a lot of amenities or something romantic. It's a good value for Sayulita.
My nitpick is that it was a bit dark, as it is a basement apartment, and is located right off a public stairwell which discouraged me from opening the curtains on the far side by the kitchen.
The location was perfect! And a great size for two people. No door on the bathroom, so privacy out the window. The bed is hard as a rock. If my boyfriend and I didn't have all those beers sleeping would be an issue. The place was clean, easy to find and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. If the bed was more comfortable would highly recommend.
We had a bit of an adventure getting to Nicolas' place. I hadn't cached the precise location and had a little difficulty finding the directions. But it all worked out. We met Luca, who was managing the property for Nicola the next evening. He is a very likeable fellow and was very considerate to us.
The apartment isn't for everyone. It is precisely as shown in the photos - spartan but very close to downtown. It's mere steps off a main street - which is it's strength and weakness. I had a lot of trouble with noise (music mostly) at night. So if you want to experience Sayulita nightlife and you really only want a place to crash it's pretty ideal. But bring ear plugs. If you want something a bit quieter look north or south in town or further up Gringo hill perhaps. The town itself is a lot of fun: great restaurants and bars and services. The beaches are nearby and it's a very social town. We cooked a bit and had a ton of fresh fruit. The kitchen is, again, fairly spartan but we made do.
