The loveliest hosts you could ever hope to encounter, in the most idyllic and peaceful setting imaginable. We stayed in the beautiful main house, a space ideal for larger (website hidden) and Lucca went out of their way to ensure we were well looked after, even going so far as to drive me to hospital and act as translators when I developed a bad infection. Their lovingly tended property is an absolute paradise. Enjoyed every moment of our stay and hope to return soon.
We had a wonderful and relaxing weekend in the countryside. Couldn't have asked for more accommodating hosts!
Our stay was a wonderful retreat from our noisy city life in Rome. The house is secluded and surrounded by quiet and nature. The house is connected but completely separate from the house where Ren and Luca stay. You have you own entrance with a little patio area where you can sit and have your meals al Fresco if you like. The house is equiped with modern conveniences like cable TV (where you can even see the shows in english, we are American) and wifi. There are books (in english) and games for the children. The master bedroom has a king bed and it is very comfy. The other room can sleep another 2-3 people. The kitchen has most of what you need. There is no refrigerator, but we made due by keeping a cooler for our essentials (cool water, fruit, etc) we needed during the day. Otherwise there is a full size frigde downstairs for you to keep items you have brought to eat. The pool was a big hit! It was huge and we had all to ourselves! My daughter played and enjoyed herself for hours each day and never wanted to leave. The house is quiet and tucked away but there are 2 lovely hill towns in either direction of the house (both less than 10kms) to explore and sample local wines and have a nice lunch or dinner. We went to 2 festivals and where able to experience local foods and culture. It was very nice! Ren and Luca (and Luca's mother) were all very gracious hosts. We were supplied with fresh organic vegetables to eat with our meals and cold watermelon to enjoy on those hot days (everyday!!!). We enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to stay an extra night and Ren gave us a discount for the extra night. She even told us that we could leave whenever we wanted. We really appreciated that because "relaxing" for the 4 days we stayed took a lot out of us so we were able to sleep in, have one last frolick in the pool, followed by a late lunch before heading home. I can't recommend this place and the hosts enough.
It was more than a pleasure to stay in Sorano with Ren & Luca. We really have enjoyed out stay : beautiful nature, confortable guesthouse, wonderful (website hidden) other words ideal place to relax , enjoy nature , live with extraordinary & extremely helpful people. One day we'll return. Thanks.
