  • We stayed in Alanna's chic, bohemian loft for a weekend- we had such a wonderful experience living like locals here! The loft is even more beautiful and spacious than it appears in the photos. Eclectically decorated, it screams whimsy with a deep affection for food everywhere. Alanna's kitchen is beyond well equipped, some serious food lovers live here, and it has every gadget you could ever imagine. Perfect for cooking up ingredients purchased at the farmer's market. It is also situated in a fantastic location, we did not have to venture very far for fantastic restaurants, bars, or even yoga classes. The Mission has such a unique culture to it, and Alanna's loft really is within walking distance to everything (you can also take the BART up a couple of streets). We took a taxi only once during our entire stay. Perhaps what is even more important than the crazy comfortable bed and adorable adornments, is the safety. There are always some questionable areas in every neighborhood, but we felt extremely safe in the apartment building. The building entrance requires a separate key, and all visitors have to be buzzed in.

Finally, we are deeply indebted to Alanna for her gracious hosting capabilities, and her extremely thoughtful list of interesting things to do. I inquired about restaurants, and received a beautifully complied list- I only wish I could have stayed longer to try them all! Curious about where you should eat while you're in San Francisco? Definitely ask Alanna- her taste, along with her home, is impeccable.

  • For a first time Airbnb user I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Alanna was a amazing host! Extremely accommodating and provided excellent recommendations from local Mission restaurants to Vineyards in Sonoma! We loved her style and eclectic decor! The loft was very comfortable and provided a wonderful place to stay for a long weekend in SF. I would highly recommended Alanna's loft to anyone and would definitely stay again.

  • Alanna was a great host from the start! She gave us great local SF recommendations and put some effort into helping us plan a fun weekend. Her loft space is inspiring, roomy, and clean. The bed was comfy, the towels were fluffy and fresh, and we couldn't have asked for anything more. Great location, too! Would definitely stay here again.

  • True loft spaces are hard to come by in San Francisco, and finding one filled with genuine creativity is even harder. Alanna loves her loft and it shows. Yes, the place is easy to get to from the airport (3 blocks from BART) and very comfortable with a great bed, a very well equipped kitchen and a super quaint bathroom. But what sets it apart is this large volume (it feels bigger than what is seen on the pictures) and the way she designed and decorated the place. It feels like wandering around in a flea market and all the various objects seem to make sense together. The apt is very well located in Mission, not too far from Mission Dolores Park and close to all the restaurants / bars that make the area such a cool destination in the city. Alanna was the best host I could possibly have, always responsive, helpful and she gave me tons of great recommendations to be sure I would make the most out of my days in the city. Overall, it is a relaxing, comfortable and inspiring place to stay that I wished I could call home even after I left. Next time I plan a trip to San Francisco, the first thing I'll do will be to check the availability of the loft and keep my fingers crossed to see some green on this calendar!

  • Wow. Is the first thing to say about Alanna's place. It is soooo amazing. Very uniquely decorated, and everything there that you can think of, as well as lots of old curiosities that you would never think of! Not only is it amazing inside, but there is a great roof terrace. I was staying there on my own, and met some of the neighbours on the roof who were extremely friendly. The location of the apartment is as amazing as the place itself. All in all, the perfect place. would not hesitate to stay here again. In fact i think i want to just move there!
