It was interesting and rewarding staying in Claudio's Maya Studio in Trastevere. The neighborhood was vibrant and diverse. Travel time to central Rome from there was around 45 minutes. The accommodation was simple but comfortable and private. Thanks very much. Highly recommended. I would be happy to stay there next time in Rome.
Had a very good experience, the studio was clean and had everything that we needed. I defintely recommend it to someone visiting Rome.
The host is very nice. The flat includes a hair-dryer, air conditioner, TV and a mini-kitchen with cookware.
An efficient little flat.
Rosanna was very helpful!
Didn't get to meet Claudia at all.
The sink was blocked when we stayed, and Claudia fixed it very quickly. The only issue was with the availability of hot water. There's enough hot water for 2 people but if you're in a group of 3, then you'd have to wait another 10-15mins before you can use hot water again.
Awesome pizza takeaway joint right next door to the apartment!
This was a nice place to stay. Plenty of public transport links and close to a couple of supermarkets. Room doesn't have too much but was fairly comfy and airconditioning worked well.
We had a nice stay with Claudia. The room was very clean and had a nice kitchenette as well as shower. There were pots pans etc all ready there for you as well as tea and coffee. The location is great, one bus will take you all the way into central Rome and there are tons of restaurants, stores and banks very close to the house. We would definitely stay again!
The Maya Studio is conveniently located in the Trastevere residential area of Rome. There are two really good and quite affordable restaurants that my husband and I found. The two in Via Portuense (Amari and La Carovana respectively, and probably not listed in (website hidden) maps). We highly recommend you taking the 20 minute walk there. Also, you will find yourself a street away from an avenue filled with original italian fashion stores and a couple of supermarkets. Unlike the Vatican area or Roma Termini, this area of Rome is not overpriced. I was glad that the apartment had an air conditioning system, Rome is a very warm place. Claudia and Rosana were quite helpful as well.
