Last year GQ Magazine named Abbot Kinney "The Coolest Block in America" and here you are steps from its world class restaurants and shopping. The beach is 6 blocks away and a 10 minute walk. There are several Farmer's Markets nearby and a Whole Foods is within walking distance as well.
A bus stop is just around the corner and the property is centrally located, 5 minutes to the Santa Monica and 405 Freeways, and close to LAX.
This space is limited to 2 guests.
Smoking in the house is not OK but is OK on the patio.
Well what can we say...what a great stay! Michael was a great host! The guest house was PERFECT! Very Clean, with an AMAZING location, can't get much better than that..... Thanks again Michael....

Michael was a great host!! I had such a unforgettable time there. Comfortable and quiet, beautiful garden!! We played music while we were there, the sound system in the living room was brilliant. We also had enough privacy during whole staying there, Michael gave us enough privacy. We would definitely visit there again if we had a chance to go there later on!!!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for the first leg of our trip around America. We could not have been more happy with our choice to stay in Michael's guest house. The location was perfect for us - right on the very trendy Abbot Kinney and a short walk to Venice Beach itself. We found it nice to be on the outskirts of hectic LA.
In terms of the house itself, it was super clean, beautifully furnished and very spacious. There is a big backyard with a lovely outdoor table in the sun, and seriously the MOST comfortable bed ever! We also loved Michael's attention to detail - new soaps in the bathroom, fresh flowers in the living room, travel books with info on the area!
Michael was an excellent host, we had all the privacy we could want, but he was there to help out with any questions we had when needed. He also made staying an extra unplanned night very easy.
Thanks very much Michael, we'll definitely be back on our next trip to LA!

I thoroughly enjoyed renting Michaels studio. It's disconnected from the main house and it feels like you have your own little house with a neighbor across the way. The location is spot on leading me to within blocks to great coffee, food and beach. Michael let me use a bike with lock, however I ended up buying my own cruiser the next day!
I highly recommend this studio and would definitely rent this place again.
Lovely spot. Very quiet, comfortable and close to Abbot Kinney. Michael is great and very helpful!
Michael was a great host his guest house studio was spacious & had everything we needed on our stay. We loved the location a easy walk to shops & resturants along Abbott Kinney as well as the Venice beach boardwalk.
Michael was a kind host who made sure my stay was comfortable in his lovely guest house. He brought fresh towels and a fan when it became hot and generally was present if I needed anything. The guest house itself is nice airy and light, and looks out on the lush back yard. It is close to every good in Venice, Abbot Kinney Blvd. is 100m away and, well, it's the hippest street in America ;-)

I'm the father of a 10 year old and work in television post-production. I love the outdoors and when I can find the time I'm usually mountain biking, hiking in the local mountains or at the beach. I consider myself fortunate to live in a place with almost perfect weather and easy access to the best Southern California has to offer!
