the house is a nice one on the top of the highest hill in Cork. whenever possible I`ll try to pick you up from the bottom of the hill or close enough (bus or train stop) to the city center and bring you home
the room is very bright and nice, it has a wonderful sight of Cork.
my house is on top of Patrick`s hill, the highest hill in Cork.
i have quite a big kitchen, it is fully equipped and i like to cook.
i would let the use of the kitchen but you need to clean after, there is no dishwasher in the house :-(
there is quite a large living room, wifi, no tv thou.
there is quite and relax athmosphere in the house, a very nice rocking chair and a real fireplace, that i am not scared to lit.
The house is on the top of the hill, no shop around, but just at the bottom of the hill there is a wonderful cafe, the Cork Cofee Roaster, and lots of good restaurants ( Novecento,Italian and Sakura,Japanese), pubs ( the Corner House) and lively corkonian night life.
it is very quite, despite being few meters away from the city center.
walking is the best way, but if you need there are public transport at the bottom of the hill.
Smoking allowed outside the house, on the terrace. No pets allowed in the house.
I really enjoyed my stay at Elisabetta's place. She's a very welcoming and helpful host, to make you feel right at home. The room is perfect, clean and indeed with a great view over the city, and comes with a private bathroom. The house is within walking distance from the city center, albeit a bit of a steep climb.
My stay at Elisabetta was great, she was very very helpful. The room is really nice and you have your own bathroom !
The location is great too.
Elisabetta is friendly and I hope to see her again !
Elisabetta is a very kind and warm hearted host,
It really felt like home in her wonderful house.
I was allowed to use the kitchen, which was a big advantage!
I enjoyed my stay a lot and would highly recommend it.
The only thing to mention:
It is located on the hill and the walk would
be too exhausting for elderly persons or people with a handycap.
To start off, Elisabetta was a fantastic host. Right off the bat, she offered to pick me up at the bus station on her way home from work and was persistent with getting everything in order before I arrived. Cork's major bus stations and Paddywagon Tour's office are right down the hill from Elisabetta's apartment, making travel and touring extremely easy for me. The room at her place was nice and cozy and the view was great.
Additionally, Elisabetta has a lot to offer in terms of her stories and places to visit in Cork, Ireland, and the rest of Europe as she has travelled quite a bit. If you're into European history at all, she definitely knows her stuff!
Just a heads up, the hill that her house is on gets a bit steep right towards the end - so make sure that you are fit to walk up.
I had a great time staying with Elisabetta. The room was very nice with a great view of Cork and the bathroom is right next door. Everything is very clean and tidy. I had use of the kitchen and she made me feel very welcome. It was a great place to stay!!
Room was fine great, host was pleasant and very helpful with anything I needed.
