House - Private room · Domovinskog rata, Hvar, Split-Dalmatia County 21450, Croatia

The Space

Retro Room
Private Room decorated with retro/vintage furniture in residential home with a Private bath. It has a comfortable queen sized bed, a hanging rack for your clothes and a pull-out sofa which can comfortably accomodate a third person.
The bathroom has a sink, toilet, shower (no bath) and shelves to store your toiletries. Though on the small side, it's functional for its use.
I provide clean linens, pillows and towels.
Being on the ground floor the bedroom is cool even on a hot day in summer but if you can't live without air-conditioning then it seems we just weren't meant to be.

The House
This is affordable accommodation with easy access to Hvar center & waterfront. The house is located 5 minutes from the city centre, 2 minutes from the waterfront yet on a quiet residential street.
We have a lovely courtyard garden & a terrace where you are welcome to hang out.
Wi-fi is available throughout the house.
There is a private parking that you can use for yor car or motorcycle.
As you have probably noticed I have another property with a similar name. Well, this is the same house, just another room.
The maximum number of guests that can stay in my house is 6, three in each of two rooms with the use of pull-out sofabeds. Each room has a private bathroom.
There is a bookshelf with many different guides and novels to read and you can use it as a book exchange.

Good to know
I'm flexible on the price for the third person and if you are staying for 5 nights or more. Feel free to inquire with your dates, # of people in your party, if you will be sharing a bed, or if you need two separate sleeping spaces, and I'll let you know what I can offer.

On Hvar
Hvar is half way between beautiful backpacking destination and a five star hang out for the rich and famous. The reasons for its increasing popularity are obvious – gorgeous beaches and secluded coves hidden under tall, ragged mountains and quaint towns with marbled streets.
Despite the influx of the well off it’s still affordable for people travelling on a budget. Staying in a private house is the most affordable option and that will also give you a chance for a more authentic stay on the island.
When in Hvar wander the beautiful streets and take in the medieval delights that will lead you all the way down to the crystal clear waters where you can relax all day long, day after day. It’s hard to get bored of that sort of scenery, but if you do there’s always a party on offer in Hvar, whether it’s day or night.
And that tends to be what Hvar’s visitors want to do. They may be wealthy Italian youngsters on their summer holidays or they might be backpackers in search of some sun and luxury, but Hvar manages to keep them all happy with it’s array of scenic offerings. Throw in 24/7 parties and it’s hard to find a fault…

  • Staying in Hvar at Neven's place was like heaven! The room itself was just right- it had everything it needed, plenty of room, clean bathroom, peaceful terrace, good location within walking distance to town center and water. Hvar was beautiful, lively, romantic, with lots to do and ways to relax. We rented a scooter to explore the island one day and also a boat to check out the Pakleni Otoci islands- we'd recommend both! Hvar will always be especially memorable for us as we got engaged there! Neven was a perfect host. He was so welcoming, available to help in any way, and became more than a host, but also a local friend!

  • Definitely recommend - perfect location, great host and brilliant facilities.

  • Excellent place, we would definitely stay again. Clean, safe and very private. The only single thing was no fan in the room which made it a bit hot, but the beautiful sea is so close, its not too big of a deal until going to bed, otherwise, this place was great! Good price for private room and bathroom! Super close to the Hvar center too!

  • Neven has been a great host. The room was really close to the center and to the sea. Hvar is a lovely island. Clean, cool, nice terrasse.

    Wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

  • Neven was a great host, giving us an outline of the town and recommendations according to what we were interested in but letting us do our own thing too. The room we stayed in was just what we needed, a place to put our heads as we were out and about most of the time. A good place to do the same if you're planning a similar holiday!

  • We had a great experience staying with Neven! He's an awesome host -- starting from picking us up at the bus stop to giving us restaurant and beach recommendations. We had a lovely time sharing a beer with him in the evenings, as his apartment is just a couple doors down.

The room is basic, but clean and comfortable. The location is great, with a nice patio/garden area and an easy walk to the city center and beaches.

    Would definitely recommend staying here!

  • Staying with Neven was AWESOME! The guy is a legend. He was very helpful and super informative. He is the guy to know on Hvar!

The room was very nice with a comfortable bed and the house is a short walk from the ferry stop. If you can, stay with this guy!

I consider myself easygoing and laid-back. I'm new to Airbnb but have been renting out rooms for years so I have a pretty good idea what you'll need while visiting Hvar and I also travel a lot myself. I know quite a bit about Hvar & Croatia. Local knowledge is priceless and I should be able to give you a few tips on things to do if you're short of ideas. Feel free to write to me with any questions you may have, but read the description carefully first - chances are that many of your questions are already answered here. It's also a good idea to check the calendar first to make sure the dates you are seeking are not booked. Pickup from bus or boat – I'll be there; and If I'm not available at the time, I'll send someone. If you are having a transfer you can leave the luggage with me, then enjoy the last full day in Hvar!
