About this listing
A beautiful, newly renovated private room located in the heart of downtown Toronto. Our place is conveniently next to Kensington market and Chinatown, and only a short walk from parks, Eaton Centre, Queen St, and many other Toronto attractions.
A few details about the room: It is located on the first floor of the house and includes: WIFI, as well as a dresser, bed, desk & chair, a flatscreen tv and an air conditioner. The entire house is newly renovated with a large skylight in the kitchen (fully equipped).
We also have another room next to this one if you are travelling with friends!
Guests will have access to the kitchen and dining room which is shared with the house (we have a couple tenants on the second floor), as well as any cooking utensils.
The bathroom is shared between 2 rooms, this one and the room next to it which is also an airbnb listing!
We also have an iron and ironing board available for guests to use and a hair dryer in the cupboard in the bathroom.
And, please feel free to help yourself to some complimentary coffee or tea in the mornings :)
The only thing that's off limits is the washer and dryer, since it is not ours.
Interaction with Guests
My mother/cohost and I generally try to meet our guests, but as we both do not live at the listing, there are some guests that we unfortunately do not end up getting the chance to meet. We are both available through text or calls at any time, so please feel free to contact either one of us!
Generally, please text myself (Chanel) if you have any questions and feel free to call my mother if you need anything or if anything is urgent! She is the one that is in the area and more available.
We also love giving recommendations for food or places to visit :)
Our neighbourhood is definitely the best place to stay for a visit, with food of all cultures just seconds away and the most unique shops in Toronto.
We are very conveniently situated on a quiet street beside two lively neighbourhoods; Chinatown and Kensington market, both exciting places to visit!
We're also very close to the AGO (Art Gallery of Ontario), the Eaton Centre, and many Toronto Attractions.
Finally, transportation is key as we are between the College streetcar and Dundas streetcar and right along Spadina Streetcar which comes every minute, and only minutes from the subway.
There is also an indoor private parking lot behind our house, which has a flat rate option for overnight parking.
1. Please me mindful of noise levels between 12am-8am as there are other guests in the house. This includes closing all doors gently.
2. Hallway lights are automatic, but please remember to turn off all other lights when leaving. Same goes for the air conditioning please. *If the hallways lights bother you, please feel free to turn them off. The switch is in the hallway.
3. There is absolutely no smoking in the house.
4. The washing machine and dryer belong to the tenants on the second floor of the house, thus they are not a listed amenity. Please refrain from trying to use them.
5. In order to keep our place clean for all guests, please remove your shoes at the entrance, we have shoe racks reserved for each room.
Also, please remember to lock the door on your way out, thanks!
I'm a graduate student originally from Toronto, Ontario, hosting a few places and trying to travel to as many new places as possible.
I'm hosting my family's house in downtown Toronto, with a few listings available there. My cohosts at these locations are my mother, Mee, (3rd profile picture) who is available by phone and stops by the house once in a while but does not live there, and my cousin, Vennice (2nd picture), who does live at the house and is also available for questions or recommendations.
I would love to meet all of our guests but I do travel a lot between our locations and other places. If I don't get to meet you this time, there is always next time!
I try to make our house manuals detailed enough for guests to manage without us, but I am always available through the airbnb message system or through text.
My cohosts and I all know these cities quite well, so please feel free to ask us anything: places to see, eat, etc.
Contact me if you have any questions!
