I enjoyed my stay at Rosa's home. The bedroom was large and had lots of room to hang my dresses and put my luggage. There is also a reading lamp on each side of the bed and a nice table to have breakfast each morning. They newly renovated the bathroom and it is large, clean and great with nice towels too! They also added a new air conditioning unit which is comfortable in the heat. Rosa was kind enough to pick me up from the train station which I greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
The walk into Orvieto has the best views! I woke up before sunrise to see it surrounded in fog, which was very beautiful. I will note that there are no sidewalks or shoulders on the road. It is a bit safer to take the way that goes up Via Dritta del Marchigiano rather than Via Adige, there are speed bumps and more room to move when a car passes. The walk can be tiring in the heat(uphill) and I found the buses to be a little less frequent than I hoped for. I managed to walk to the town everyday though and even did it twice one day.
Overall I enjoyed my stay. There were times I wish I had an escalator to go up to Orvieto, but that's not the hosts fault. Thank you for everything. It is a very clean, comfortable and safe place to stay.
Lovely place in a tranquil location, about 20 minutes walk downhill from Orvieto. Rosa and her family are kind and generous hosts who made sure we had a comfortable stay with excellent coffee.
We had a short stay at Rosa's home (one night only) and it was great. The room was exactly as advertised, very comfortable and clean. We would definitely go back to Rosa's house when staying again in Orvieto. Super recommended!
Rosa, thanks a lot for your hospitality!
Rosa was a kind host, who catered to our every need. She provided us with breakfast croissants, toast-biscuits, spreads and ingredients for tea. I would recommend staying with her!
Rosa is great and surprised me with a most welcomed ride by meeting my train at the station (and a ride back when I left!). She also helped we with the train schedules to Asissi. The room is big and clean with a wonderful view of the countryside. Fruit and biscuits are supplied and always available. I walked into Orvieto and it is a steep 15 minute walk, while the bus is a quick 10 minutes to the funicular which goes right up to the old town.
With the bus into town (which runs about every 30 minutes), the location is convenient for those wishing to visit the area and the hosts are warm and welcoming.
About the Host, Rosa
