The space

This is a beautiful property newly built (2015) as a guest house on waterfront property. You are renting one bedroom with a shared bathroom and a shared sitting/food prep area. The entire space (sleeps 5) is also available for rent; see Crashboat Camp Guest House. The food prep area has a microwave, coffee maker, sink and small refrigerator - great for warming leftovers. Due to new construction, shoes are required when you are outdoors in the yard or on the pier.

You can access all of the outdoor spaces, you can fish or crab from the well lit pier, you can swim in the bay or go for a long walk. The Moody Gardens golf course is a short walk. You can also walk to Sugar Bean coffee shop for a morning latte. Upon request: A grill can also be provided, we can make arrangements for two Kayaks (free) and we have an elevator on the property if necessary.

Interaction with guests

Please don't be shy. We love our island home. We are happy to share with you all the local restaurants and hang-outs. We will try to greet you when you check in and are always available by text or phone to help you with your local needs.

Other things to note

This property has been in our family for years. Two families share a little less than an acre of land with deep water access. If you want to bring your boat, we can make arrangements AHEAD of TIME and it can be tied up on the pier.

Mary was a fantastic host, and her place is great for a stay in Galveston! The guest house was very comfortable and homey. Plus, you are on Galveston Bay, so you can walk right out to the water on the pier in her backyard. 10/10 would recommend to family and friends!

Mary's place was amazing. They have a beautiful house with a nice view. She also communicated so promptly with details and even helped me out with getting my bag back that I'd left at her place and checked out. All in all a great locality, awesome house, beautiful view, cute dog! and not too far from the bayside where all the action is...

This is my second time staying- I really like this place! Calm, quiet and really nice view. The room is fantastic and was a great spot to come back to after a long day. Added bonus- a lovely couple staying in the room next door as Airbnb guests. I recommend this place wholeheartedly!
