Crash-boat Camp is an old fishing camp property with new construction on it. You are renting a private room with a king size bed and cable TV/DVD player in it. The shared property has a pier. You can walk to the golf course & Sugar Bean coffee shop.
This is a beautiful property newly built (2015) as a guest house on waterfront property. You are renting one bedroom with a shared bathroom and a shared sitting/food prep area. The entire space (sleeps 5) is also available for rent; see Crashboat Camp Guest House. If you need it, we have an elevator on the property and arrangements can be made. The food prep area has a microwave, coffee maker, sink and refrigerator. Upon request, you have access to an outdoor grill. This is new construction. Shoes are required when you are outdoors in the yard or on the pier.
You can access all of the outdoor spaces, you can fish or crab from the well lit pier, you can swim in the bay or go for a long walk. The Moody Gardens golf course is a short walk. You can also walk to Sugar Bean coffee shop for a morning latte. Upon request: A grill can also be provided, we can make arrangements for two Kayaks (free) and we have an elevator on the property if necessary.
Interaction with Guests
Please don't be shy. We love our island home. We are happy to share with you all the local restaurants and hang-outs. We will try to greet you when you check in and are always available by text or phone to help you with your local needs.
We are an easy walk to the Moody Gardens Golf Course and the Evia neighborhood, 1 mile to the beach or a 3 miles to Moody Gardens and Schlitterbaun Water Park. We love to talk food, so contact me if you want any recommendations.
It is very easy to get around on bikes. If you are interested in bike rentals; let us know and we will give you numbers and names of local rental places.
Other Things to Note
This property has been in our family for years. Two families share a little less than an acre of land with deep water access. If you want to bring your boat, we can make arrangements AHEAD of TIME and it can be tied up on the pier.
Come and Go as you please anytime of day or night.
Appropriate dress in community areas
Quiet after 10:30 PM on week-nights and 12:30 on week-ends. If you come in after, just try to respect the other's in the house and we will do the same for you.
No pets allowed.
You are welcome to go outside and smoke.
Check-out is at noon. If we are not around, just leave the key on the kitchen island; and text or call Mary Jo so she can get someone to come lock up.
