This is a beautiful property newly built (2015) as a guest house on waterfront property. You are renting one bedroom with a shared bathroom and a shared sitting/food prep area. The entire space (sleeps 5) is also available for rent; see Crashboat Camp Guest House. The food prep area has a microwave, coffee maker, sink and small refrigerator - great for warming leftovers. Due to new construction, shoes are required when you are outdoors in the yard or on the pier.
NOTE: I don't rent to first time Airbnb'er's and I only accept reservations for folks with previous positive reviews. This is a private residence so I set a higher standard than others might.
This property features August Smart Lock which provides secure, keyless entry. You can lock and unlock the door with your smartphone, using a unique virtual key issued to you for the duration of your stay. If you would like a physical key, arrangements will be made.
You can access all of the outdoor spaces, you can fish or crab from the well lit pier, you can swim in the bay or go for a long walk. The Moody Gardens golf course is a short walk. You can also walk to Sugar Bean coffee shop for a morning latte. Upon request: A grill can also be provided, we can make arrangements for two Kayaks (free) and we have an elevator on the property if necessary.
Interaction with guests
Please don't be shy. We love our island home. We are happy to share with you all the local restaurants and hang-outs. We will try to greet you when you check in and are always available by text or phone to help you with your local needs.
Other things to note
This property has been in our family for years. Two families share a little less than an acre of land with deep water access. If you want to bring your boat, we can make arrangements AHEAD of TIME and it can be tied up on the pier.
Please do not block the garages; park outside of fence on grass or on the gravel lot near the garden entrance.
Do not bring raw seafood of any kind into the guest house. This includes bait.
Quiet after 10:30 PM on week-nights and 12:30 on week-ends. If you come in after, just try to respect the other's in the house and we will do the same for you.
No Smoking. You are welcome to go outside and smoke.
Appropriate dress in community areas.
No pets allowed. Kinsington is sweet to people, but jealous of other dogs.
Check-out is at noon. If we are not around, just leave the key back in the bedroom door and text or call Mary Jo so she can get someone to come lock up.
