The flat is inside the historic centre but is not overcrowded, which makes it more relaxing. The area surrounding Piazza del Carmine

The Brancacci Chapel is home to the famous frescoes by Masaccio and Masolino, considered the first masterworks of the Italian Renaissance.
Florence is a relatively small city filled with pedestrian areas, so it's easy to walk everywhere while it's quite difficult to drive and (most of all) park in the city. Therefore, we suggest, in your best interest, to NOT reach Florence by car.

This was a great apartment in Florence! Natasha met us to let us into the apartment and was very nice, helpful and made us feel at home. The apartment was in a great location for walking to all the sights in Florence, but was in a quieter neighborhood. There was a great piazza just around the corner which was great for dinner. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again!
Gracias Alessandro & Natasha!!!
A lovely charming apartment in the heart of Florence and in my opinion a fantastic location. Very close to amenities and the historical old town. The apartment itself had everything needed and Natasha meet us and was very helpful. 100% recommend to anyone coming to Florence
The apartment was everything we expected and more! We honestly couldn't have had a better stay. The hot plate stove was out of order when we arrived but Alessandro offered to supply us with a microwave as an alternative. It is a perfect haven in the city of Florence.
I stayed in the church-side flat with my mom for almost 3 months. This was one of the first airbnb experiences and I am pleased overall.
When I checked in I thought the place looked better in person than the photos. Natasha and Alessandro did a great job providing a clean space for us when we arrived. I felt the size is good for one to two people, and I had the necessities I needed such as cooking supplies, linens, soaps etc. the flat was also recently renovated so it's nicer on the inside. There is ample furniture that is new, and plenty of space in the room for clothes. The bed is also new and very comfortable! We also used the couch bed when my dad and sister visited for two weeks. For a couch bed it is incredibly comfortable! I slept on it with my sister and got a great sleep. It would be best for two children or small adults since it's not very big.
The location of the flat is really good! I didn't know anything about the area but I really lucked out. It's right in the santa spirito neighborhood, which is more local and Jess touristy. There are a ton of great local eateries that we frequented. Just across the street we had a perfect Grocery store as well as specialty shops for meats and cheeses. Anything you need is within 5-10 walk. I also noticed more bars and restaurants opening up in the piazza so there's plenty more coming soon.
You can also easily walk across the river to more attractions. Overall, location is the greatest part of the flat. However, I should note that the flat is next to a restaurant, which can be noisy at night but I adjusted to that. But taking showers at night was hard because it seemed they used the same water line and we always had low pressure of lost hot water. I recommend showering early mornings.
I did not see Alessandro or Natasha after my check in date, but we remained in contact during my stay. They are kind and courteous people and made sure we were happy during our stay.
I am happy with my stay here and would recommend to others.
This is the second time I have stayed at Alessandro and Natasha's flat and I am very happy. They are extremely welcoming and friendly and provide everything I need. It is a lovely flat in a great location and I definitely recommend it for anyone coming to Florence. :)
Three of us stayed in the Churchside Flat for four nights. It was my favourite apartment that we stayed in for our recent European trip. The flat itself is clean and well serviced. The location couldn't be better, too. It is within walking distance to most major sights, yet it is not in a loud or busy street. Our hosts we amazing. We met Natasha at the flat and she was so lovely and cheerful. Natasha was happy to give us tips on where to visit, eat and drink, and she really helped us start our stay on a happy note. We also left a credit card in the flat, and Natasha was happy to help us work out a plan for getting it back. I would highly recommend this flat!

About the Host, Natasha And Alex
We got married on October 2011, I am a Florentine born and raised while Natasha moved here from a small city close to Novosibirsk, Russia.
Natasha likes shopping... I like football, she loves reading and I love music, we both love eating, travelling and watching some TV shows like Big Bang Theory for example.
I'm the tech savvy person and she's the handy person, so the worst mistake you can do is ask Natasha to help you with your pc or ask me to help you with the washing machine. :)
We took the time to get our ID verified, we know that is a lengthy process so we do not expect all our guests to complete it. Nevertheless, we like to know who we host, therefore we will appreciate if our future guests will take the time to verify their phone, email and upload at least one real picture.
