Spacious two floor apartment with two balconies and a sea view in a quite part of town, walking distance to Old Town of Dubrovnik.
The apartment is located on second (last) floor of the building. The apartment has two floors, on bottom floor there is entrance, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, bedroom with double bed, living room with sofa that can be extended into double bed, dinning area and a balcony. On upper floor there is a single big room with three single beds and a balcony with a sea view. The apartment is quite spacious, it has little over 70 m2 and there should be enough place for all of you.
In the apartment you will find everything for a comfortable stay, towels, linen, hair dryer, fully equipped kitchen with dishes, vacuum cleaner, iron with ironing board, washing machine, cable tv, wireless flat internet connection and an air condition on both floors.
Interaction with Guests
Someone will be at the apartment during check in procedure to help you settle in and that's it. If you need anything I'm always at your disposal via email, sms or a phone call.
The apartment location is pretty good, it's located in quiet part of town called Gorica svetog Vlaha, some 20 minutes of easy walk from the Old town of Dubrovnik. Close to the apartment (some 200 m) is beautiful sandy pebble beach called Bellevue.
There is a public bus station right in front of the apartment building. But I really recommend walking. Apartment is a walking distance from Old Town city center with great views along seaside.
Other Things to Note
On the ground floor of the building you will find a market for basic groceries (open on Sunday too).
If you are arriving by car there are are lots off free parking spaces all around the apartment which is rarity for Dubrovnik.
On days where we have a "change over day" situation I must me strict about check out time latest by 10:00 AM and check in after noon, so cleaning service can come and prepare the apartment for next guests. On all other days we can agree on check in / check out time. The apartment is located in a small apartment building with mostly permanent residents and it is custom that there is peace and quiet from 14:00 till 17:00 PM, something like "siesta" :)
In addition, recently we had very bad experience with some younger guests...they throw a party for couple of nights leaving the apartment building awake all night. Neighbors in the apartment building are all permanent residents, mainly older and some of them even seriously ill and house rules clearly says that after 10PM there should not be any excessive noise and parties. Now, I must say to all my future guests to pay attention to this.
Our experience was wonderful. Peter picked us up from the airport and was extremely helpful in giving suggestions on what to do, where to eat, etc etc. The apartment is charming and a lovely 10 minute walk from the old town.
The 3 separate beds on the 2nd floor were very good for two children. They liked them.
The kitchen's condition was not very clean, but it was enough for us to cook the food.
The distance was 1.4km from the house to the old town which was not easy for the children. If you were adults, it would be an easy-going.
The reservation was canceled 100 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
It's a fantastic apartment which we enjoy the trip in Dubrovnik with great location and large space. The host and his father are very kind and helpful to assist us. The apartment is very big and well equipped for travealers. I strongly recommend this apartment to everyone who plans to stay in Dubrovnik.
Hosts father meet us and was lovely and helpful carrying our bags up the several flights of stairs. The apartment did the job but to make an honest review I would have to say it was basic and could do with a bit of a freshen up and some work done.
This is a spacious apartment on the third floor walk-up of an older, non-descript looking building in a good section of Dubrovnik. Parking seems limited in the area, but we were fortunate to find parking in one of the limited number of parking spaces right in front of the building and left our car parked for our two days/nights there. It is an easy 20 minute walk to the Old City for the reasonably fit. The owner lives in Zagreb but was easily accessible by e-mail or SMS. His father met us to provide keys and an introduction to the apartment. Downstairs there are a master bedroom, full kitchen, dining/living room, and a large, single bathroom for the unit. Upstairs there is a sizeable loft room with 3 single beds. There are small balconies on both levels. It is a older unit that shows its age - for example, the cabinets in the kitchen don't close well and the owner let us know that the oven part of the stove was broken - but it was very clean with a very good master bed mattress, which is important to us. It worked fine for two of us and seems like it would be perfect for a family of 5 or a group of students. While we were there, we could not open the door of the washing machine and the light switch in the kitchen started to fail. We let the owner know about the switch and the washing machine and subsequent to our departure, he let us know that he had both fixed.
My wife and I live and work in Zagreb (Croatia capital) but we are both born and raised in Dubrovnik. I'm a 36 year old mechanical engineer working as a design engineer in car industry.
My parents Pero & Gordana who live in Dubrovnik usually welcome all guests to our apartment and they are big help in our renting business.
