Near beautiful Victoria Park in fashionable East London, this modern flat has good views, balcony, new double bed, well-equipped kitchen, washing machine, record player and TV. Good transport links to central London (zone 2 tubes 10-15 mins walk and bus stop 2 mins)
The flat is lovely and bright, with large windows, a balcony and nice views. It's situated in a relatively quiet area, away from the main road. We are near the Regent's Canal, which can be seen from flat. The main bedroom has a comfortable king size bed and the smaller bedroom is a study with a reading chair and desk space. We have put together a selection of books on London which guests are welcome to refer to during their stay. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a washing machine (no tumble dryer, but drying racks are available). Tea, coffee, cocktail shaker and other essentials are provided. We live here and only rent the apartment out when we are away.
All of the flat is accessible. Guests are welcome to sit on the balcony, and to use the study, books and record player.
Interaction with guests
Depending on your arrival day/time, either we will be there to let you in and show you around the flat, or we will provide detailed instructions for accessing a lock box with the keys to the flat. We (Nathalie and David) co-host so you may receive messages from one or both of us!
Located in trendy East London, the flat is located a stone's throw from the Regent's Canal and beautiful Victoria Park (excellent for breakfast, a walk and people/dog watching). There are many good pubs, cafes and restaurants in the local area (we list some of our favourites in the guest handbook). Columbia Road Flower Market (Sundays) and Broadway Market (Saturdays) are walking distance or short bus ride away. The immediate local area is also well catered for, with a fruit, vegetable and fish market 5 minutes away (closed Sundays and Mondays) and excellent local shops that sell organic food, fresh bread, fruit and vegetables and wines/beers. There are also several newsagents, a dry cleaners and a launderette.
There are good transport links to central London and beyond. We are 10-15 minutes walk from Mile End (Central Line, District, Hammersmith and City lines) and Bethnal Green (Central Line) tubes. The no. 8 bus stop (to central London) is 2 minutes away. The no. 8 runs all night. If you need a taxi, Victoria Park Taxis are based 5 mins away and are reliable. There is a cycle hire docking station at the end of our road (2 mins), with a second station 5 minutes away at Globe Town Market Square. From the flat you can take a pleasant stroll along the Regent's Canal Towpath to Angel or down to Limehouse Basin and the River Thames (although watch out for the cyclists!).

No parties or loud music please. Smoking is allowed on the balcony but not inside the flat. Please only use the landline in emergencies!
