My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay with Mike and Mark. The apartment is well located, you can just walk to the centre or catch the tram down of the street to get everywhere around the other suburbs. They were really helpful for our first trip to Melbourne many documents, maps, transport card.. Everything you need for visit a city ! The breakfast was just awesome ! Such a pleasure to get up and found everything ready for you, the place is really clean and get an amazing view on the city ! Thanks you both for a fantastic stay, would definitely recommend Mike and Mark's apartment to anyone !
Staying with Mark & Mike was excellent - this was my first experience of Airbnb and I'm so pleased to have been hosted by such great guys.
The room was extremely clean and tidy, as was the kitchen and bathroom. Everything was fresh and to hand; there was a thoughtfulness seldom seen. For example, a pen and paper by the bed, a glass, maps, soya milk, which I fleetingly mentioned I preferred, plus knowledge of everything I could think of, simple stuff but thoughtful nevertheless.
The views from the balcony and roof are exactly as in the photographs - stunning.
It was a pleasure staying here and sharing a few days in comfort with Mike and Mark plus their lovely, inquisitive cats! I would definitely recommend this location too as it is walking distance to everywhere central. I had a great time all round.
Mike & Mark were wonderful hosts. The description that they have given on Airbnb was an understatement as our stay was more than we expected. It is by far the best Airbnb experience I have had and I could not have asked for more.
The place is very modern and clean and the bed is very comfortable. The apartment block is luxurious and amenities such as the pool downstairs was a bonus. It is centrally located with a short walk to Flinders Station. The area is safe with many cultural venues around such as theater and galleries.
Mike & Mark were very thoughtful hosts as they spoiled us with information and were very knowledgeable about Melbourne. They provided us with breakfast, maps, brochures, and the travel card required to get around. They showed that they cared and put in effort towards our visit which made our stay very comfortable.
I would like to specially mention that their cats, Samba and Barney, were delightful. They were so intelligent and playful and they definitely added to the homeliness of the apartment.
I would recommend their place to anyone travelling to Melbourne and I would definitely love to stay again.
Thank you Mike & Mark for such a great time at your place.
Thank you to Mike and Mark for the hospitality that was given to us on our stay at their apartment. The location was perfect. Easy to find. Loved the coffee, breakfast and suggestions on places to see. The cats made our stay even better. Great views over city.
Excellent listing for inner Melbourne city..10/10... Mike & Mark are wonderful & thoughtful hosts. They are genuine kind relaxed & very helpful....lovely cats too, Barney is a hoot & Samba too busy sleeping to give a hoot. Fantastic views & position. Great value for money. Highly recommended. Enjoy!!
Myself and my girlfriend spent two nights at Mark & Mikes apartment, from the hit go we received lots of information and help on how to get to apartment, when they would meet us to give us a tour and keys. The apartment is situated in Southbank a great spot and gorgeous views of city. Both Mark and Mike gave us a professional host providing everything we could need including travel cards which we would top up after use instead of us buying our own and spending money on a card we would only use twice, Breakfast was always on the table for us every morning.
Overall we had a great experience and we're glad we picked this as our first Air BNB experience, Location Excellent, Service Excellent.
We will definitely miss Barney and Samba as they were a hit too!
We cannot thank Mike & Mark enough for our stay in Melbourne! Mike was so informative when we arrived and took us up to the rooftop to show us the layout of everywhere which we really appreciated. They also provided us with 2 x Myki cards in case we used the tram (we didn't) but it was a really thoughtful gesture and whenever we mentioned places we would like to see/visit, we could rely on their extensive knowledge plus a handy Melbourne book + useful guides/maps etc! Our bedroom was nice & cosy and I loved the private bathroom (felt like we were at a hotel!) The thing we appreciated the most was the breakfast laid out each morning (unexpected so we were quite thankful) and Barney is the most friendliest cat I have ever come across :) We actually enjoyed watching Barney interact with Samba and play up with Mike and Mark which was quite entertaining :) What we also enjoyed was getting to know Mike and Mark and talk about their experiences and travels around the world (eg. Dubai) so this is what really made our stay there truly enjoyable as compared to staying in a hotel. We definitely recommend staying with Mike & Mark in Melbourne and should we ever return, we hope to stay with them again (if they're free and still on Airbnb! :)) Thank you so much, Norma & Daniel :)
