Blanchardstown Hospital and Ballycoolin Industrial Estate are directly accessible as is the Institute of Technology, Aquatic Centre , e-Bay, Bristol Myers Squibs, Ballycoolin Industrial Estate etc..
Damastown Industrial Estate is 3 minutes by car.
39/39A Bus route is a 2 minute walk (up to 80 minutes to dublin city centre)
Clonsilla train station is 10 minutes away servicing the city centre. The N3, Navan Road, is minutes away. This leads to the M50 which provides access to all parts of the city and airport region.
Should LOVE dogs :)
Francesca is great host. The room is exactly as she told me so there was no surprises. Even it’s a small room her hospitality was great. She was one of my first AirBnB experience. I had a great experience in this house and felt very welcome. Village is distanced from Dublin 1hour bus ride but has everything you actually need. Nice shop and bakery are in 2 minute walk distance, very quiet neighborhood. Bus station is nearby and town is easily accessible. Thank you for all the help, wonderful stay and I’m very happy to have a new friend.
Francesca is very available for welcome guest.
No problem with this person.
For a short stay it is a good house because bedroom is a little bit small.
Very kind and welcoming person.
Perfect for temporary solutions, I recommand.
First, for the price I paid, it was the best deal I could ask for. The house is spacious, comfortable and located beautifully well, surrounded by green lawns, a supermarket and shopping center and a bus stop two minutes away. The 39A services the route all day long, taking you to the city center and even as far as Dublin 4, which is about 90 minutes away. It's frequent too, so no worries about the Dublin Bus schedule!
Regarding the room, mine was on the first floor, with carpeted floors, a big window overlooking the small lawn, a closet, a floor lamp and a sofa which turned into a pretty comfortable and easy bed at night. As long as I kept it neat and tidy, the room was perfect and private. The bathroom was the adjoining door so even if my room wasn't en suite, it wasn't such a ways away from the nearest loo! The living is beautiful and spacious and the kitchen can easily sit four, if not five. I had a good washing and drying facility, all sorts of storage space and a backyard where I could use line drying if I had to. As far as the house is concerned, I think it's a perfect place to live, especially in Ongar, where almost all the houses are the same in structure and share similar if not the same spatial dimensions and surroundings.
If I had to voice one concern, it would be that if you are not a dog lover, you would not be comfortable in that house. There are two dogs at present, but usually there is one. While the dogs are lovely and very, very well behaved, there is the added concern of having to live with dogs and making space for them in your living/eating space, which might not be ideal for everyone. Plus, a backyard in Dublin means wet grounds, wet paws and dirty floors and even though the housemates make every effort to clean regularly, it is not possible to keep a spic and span house with two dogs running inside and out every chance they get! The best thing would be to be fond of dogs, so you don't have to try.
All in all, I would rate my experience an ace one. I never thought I would find such wonderful friends in three weeks' time. I felt welcome, comfortable, easy and safe. And right at home from day one. Francesca is the nicest person you'll meet, with a good head on her shoulders and a kind heart and Scott is really good guy who will hang with you when he gets the time. They're nice to live with, easy to talk to and that's all you need! I'd've stayed longer if I could! :) Three cheers for 1, Willans Park!
