Our stay was very pleasant! The flat was clean and beautifully decorated and the location was excellent, close to Carrefour and the metro. Julie, who greeted us when we arrived, was very helpful and kind. We would definitely recommend Sophie's flat to anyone visiting Paris!
My girlfriend and I stayed in Sophie's apartment for a couple of days. We loved our stay here, the apt is modern, well furbished, and has good natural light throughout the day. The bed is soft and tucked away in a cozy spot. There are big windows that open up and you can lean out of, but (and this was our only gripe) they look over the back of the building and not the front street like we thought. This turned out to be quite good though because there was not street noise at night time.
The area is also terrific, montemartre is a lovely area of Paris, Sacre Coeur (which you have to see) is about a 6 minute walk up the hill and lets you look over the entire city. The area is packed with boulangeries, some of which one the baguette grand prix, and there are some cool boutique-y shops you can check out around the area too.
We found it really easy to see Paris from Sophie's apartment, and would recommend it to any couple who were looking to see the city and wanted to avoid the hostel/hotel vibe at a good price. Thank you Sophie and Julie!
After traveling through Europe for almost 60 days, my girlfriend and I booked Sophie's apartment in Montmartre for our final visit before returning stateside. I can say, without hesitation, that this property enormously exceeded our expectations and stood out as the most enjoyable property of our travels (hotels, multi-party BnBs, and aparthotels included).
Location - If you are unfamiliar with Paris, rest assured that this location is unbeatable. It is 50 feet from bend of a boulevard lined with historic cafes, clubs, and bars. Rue des Martyrs is a main artery for pedestrian locals and tourists visiting Sacre Couer, also lined with wonderful boutiques and cafes. The Pigalle station is easily accessible for seeing the rest of Paris and not difficult to commute from with heavy luggage.
Apartment - The property is exactly as shown in the photos, just as impressive and stylish as pictured. Sophie supplies a list of requests that essentially amount to "please respect the apartment so that future guests can enjoy the same experience", and we were happy to comply. The bathroom and shower were large enough for me (6'3") with room to spare. We cooked each night with Sophie's nice appliances and kitchen supplies. A dishwasher and washing machine made life easy for cleaning up. The design of the built-in cabinetry is smart, innovative, and extremely efficient. We slept each night with a window open and, despite our proximity to a highly energetic neighborhood, never heard one disturbance day or night. The wifi was very fast and adequate for (website hidden) or streaming a movie via iTunes.
Host - Sophie was quick to respond to any question we had regarding arrival or apartment logistics (e.g. trash disposal), usually within an hour or two. Her colleague Julie greeted us upon arrival and was quick to offer her contact info if there were any problems. Sophie has high expectations for her guests because the apartment was recently remodeled, but at the price she is charging your should have no problem observing a few "house rules" to keep the place in good condition. This apartment was the best value, hands down, of any place I stayed in Europe. I highly recommend Sophie and this apartment for any guest looking for a clean, tame property to call home during a visit to Paris.
Beautiful apartment in a fantastic area of Paris. Highly recommended!
Good flat for couples or singles ! You got everything you need there and the location is great! Had a really good experience , this flat is totally recommended .
I have spend a 5 beautiful days in Sophie´s flat, flat is just like the pictures. Clean, modern and with all the utilities. best deal you can find in Paris. I was pretty scare because it was my first time to book online on airbnb, and experience couldn´t be better. I recommend it 100% to everyone. Thank you Sophie and Julie! I will recommend you to my friends, and if I ever come back to Paris, I won´t have any doubt to come again.
Great apartment! Perfect for short stay! Clean!
