About this listing
Butterfly Guesthouse is designed for travelers who want to feel the comfort of their home when visiting a new city. It is an old villa, from 1915, with most of the original features, and its aim is to offer modern accommodation in a chic environment.
Butterfly Guesthouse is on the first floor of an old villa, from 1915 and keeps most of the original features.
It has 3 bedrooms (each with different furniture, from Florentine style to modern Ikea), 1.5 bathrooms, 1 living room, 1 dining room and 1 kitchen (equipped with fridge, cooker, toaster, coffee maker etc). The bedrooms are large and have queen sized beds, big wardrobes, a desk and even bookcases.
The Flamingo bedroom is 22 square meters, it has a king size bed, a very big wardrobe (you should never give up on your favourite clothes just because you're travelling and there might not be enough space), a desk ( why not combining work with fun), a small bookcase filled with books (just in case you get bored) and a lovely painting of two flamingos sipping champagne and enjoying the good life :)
Tired after a long walk in the rain? Curl on the sofa under the blanket, grab a biscuit and a hot cocoa. Or try some toast with home made jam (different types depending on the season). Early morning? Don't forget to grab a coffee or at least a cup of tea before you leave. We are tea lovers so you will find a large variety available.
Goodies are available free of charge, of course :)
Included: towels, bed linen, toiletry, wireless internet, usage of the washing machine. For those hot summer nights, there is AC in the living room and fans are available for the bedrooms.
The kitchen, dining room, living room and bathrooms are shared with the other 2 bedrooms.
Butterfly Guesthouse is located in the very center of Bucharest, in a quiet area, close to Cismigiu Park. It is 10 minutes walk to Pta Romana, Pta Victoriei, Pta Universitatii or the main train station Gara de Nord. It is also very close to the old town - with many pubs and clubs.
Want to try a good restaurant, a nice tea room or perhaps a school of coffee? They're all 'round the corner.
Living in the center of the city means you are in walking distance to most of the important landmarks. However, if you prefer local transportation, there are 3 subway stations close by (5-10minutes walk) and plenty of bus stations.
If you get around by car, there are free parking spaces in front of the house.
The airport is situated at the outskirts of the city, but you can take a taxi, a bus or a train and get to Butterfly Guesthouse in less than an hour.

10x Particia :-)
Patricia was welcoming us heartly. She gave us immediatly after arriving a map, showed us the flat and told us where to go and what to do in Bucharest. The room was like on the Pictures, very big and clean. Internet connection was great.
The location was 20 - 25 minutes to the centre by walking and there are some nice bars and restaurant just around the corner.
We enjoyed the stay at Patricias place.
Well for my 1st experience with airbnb, I was not impressed I was given another room which was quite nasty. I was cold all night. For the same money you can nice hotels in Bucharest. Host was friendly enough.
Staying at Patricia’s place was pleasant. Everything was like it is presented in the description of the profile and the pictures are a truthful representation. Het mother stayed in one of the rooms at the moment we were there, but we were never bothered by her. The price is quite ok for what you get. The neighborhood is quite nice.
The sudden appearance of a big dog in the corridor was the only negative thing. Because he was big, it was evening and I did not know this could happen, I startled. That made the dog a bit agitated, what was not a really nice experience. It was the only thing that happened and it made me a bit uneasy for the rest of the time, but that’s it.
Patricia is a very kind host, accommodating schedules and preferences. The house is comfortable and in a central area, close to Gara de Nord and most of the important/central places in Bucharest.
